IS THE KEY TO BLACK EQUALITY
THE
TRUTH ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE
.
Many Black people are more interested in
embracing the myths of Fantasyland than facing reality. They like the idea of
the fearless Black warrior willing to fight to the death for what they believe. But
that’s clearly just a myth, if it weren’t we’d either be free, or dead by now.
I recognized that fact as a teenager, so I set about the task of educating
myself so I could come up with another way of seeking liberation – one that didn’t involve attacking
tanks with a slingshot.
.
Black people are thinkers not warriors,
and there’s nothing wrong with that. It simply means that we’ve evolved to the next
level into the people of the future. Because the simple fact is, God made birds
to fly, fish to swim, and man to think. That’s why even though man isn’t as ferocious
as a lion, or as powerful as the elephant, his intellect has allowed him to
maintain dominion over the other animals nevertheless, and that’s exactly what
we’re going to have to do with the ignorant two-legged Neanderthals left here among
us.
.
Think about it – the myth about the “Black
warrior” is a relic of another time. If the myth were even the least bit true, would
George Zimmerman be able to walk around in complete comfort for all these years
after brutally murdering one of our children? Absolutely not. So the fact is,
while Black people like to go for bad, we’re not warriors – we have too much sense
to want to put our lives on the line. While we haven’t gone about figuring out
the details, we know instinctively that our problems can be overcome through more efficient means. Well, I’m giving you the details, and they’re very simple – we’ve
simply got to make ourselves so knowledgeable that the powers that be can’t function without
us. In short, we’ve got to make knowledge the new “soul”.
.
Black people are thinkers by nature, and what we call “soul” is nothing less than intellectual creativity trying to be unleashed. That’s why we like to showboat and engage in creativity as a way of life. While we call it “soul”, it’s actually brilliance wiggling around inside of us because we’re not giving it anything else to do. So we need to start giving it something to do, by developing our intellect instead of trying to Twerk it out and fantasizing about being something we’re not. Black people are much too smart to be John Wayne.

Utilizing our creativity and ability to
think is the only thing that’s going to move us forward. Going to war just ain’t
what we’re about, because in our hearts we know that there ain’t nothing the
least bit soulful about bein’ a dead hero. It’s a simple matter of common
sense.
It was a combination of intelligence, the
simple insight of a 17-year-old Black girl, and the recognition of the value of
Black creativity that have people around the world demonstrating over the death
of one Black man. That’s a resource that shouldn’t be squandered away through
stupidity.
