DONALD TRUMP: STANDING IN THE SHADOW OF GREATNESS

Beneath the Spin*Eric L. Wattree

EXCELLENCE IS THE KEY TO BLACK EQUALITY
.
DONALD TRUMP:
.

Donald Trump announced that he wouldn't be paying respect to Rep. John Lewis who is currently lying in state in the capitol. But that could have been predicted, just like his taking down White House portraits of former Presidents who don't support him could have been predicted. President Ronald Reagan's portrait will probably come down next, since the Reagan Foundation contacted the Trump campaign and asked them to stop using Reagan's name and image in their fund-raising efforts.
.
You see, Donald Trump has the petty mentality of an 8-year-old child. So he'll do - or NOT do - anything he thinks will get the attention, and/or irritate, the people who don't support him. He's vindictive,  and literally, a geriatric child. For him, everything is about payback and getting even. If you don't join him in raving over how wonderful he is, you're the enemy, and he'll eventually get even for your lack of support. Trump has been given everything throughout his entire life. He's never had to earn anything. So he thinks the world "owes" him it's undying loyalty.
.
But that's quite alright by me, because it allows me to read him. Trump has a stupid propensity to telegraph his every thought and feeling, so just observing his behavior is the next best thing to being able to read his mind. A perfect example of that principle at work is how he just wished accused child molester Ghislaine Maxwell well. Based on the way he treats more accomplished women, that speaks volumes. It tells me that Maxwell probably has something on him, and based on a 2016 court filing that's almost certainly the case:

Rape Allegations Refiled Against Trump

"MANHATTAN (CN) – A woman who says Donald Trump raped her at a private sex party when she was 13 years old refiled a lawsuit against him Friday, two weeks after voluntarily dismissing a suit based on the same claims.

"The new complaint, filed in the federal court in Manhattan, restates plaintiff Jane Doe’s claims of the earlier lawsuit. Namely, that she was lured by a recruiter to summer parties hosted by co-defendant Jeffrey Epstein at an Upper East Side mansion on East 71st St., tied to a bed and forcibly raped by Trump, who slapped her with an open hand and told her he would do whatever he pleased with her.

"Jane Does goes on to claim that after Epstein also forcibly raped her, he and Trump bickered over who should have taken the minor plaintiff’s virginity."

So Trump's pettiness brings me comfort, because it assures me that he's not feeling a second's worth of relief over the pain of being a miserable outcast. It gives me the comforting assurance of knowing how horrible it must be to be Donald Trump, and it couldn't happen to a more deserving person.  Just imagine having to go through life knowing that you're so despicable that your own wife probably hates your guts, and your children may only be putting up with you for monetary reward. That’s what Donnie’s got to live with. And he also has to live with the fact that no matter how much he postures, the entire world looks upon him as a disgusting loser - and a dumb one with no class, at that. That's karma working at its very best.

Trump is literally dying inside, because what he’s wanted more than anything else all his life has always been just beyond his grasp - the admiration and respect of others. He's always had money, but he's never had the respect of others - and after all, that's primarily why we want money in the first place, in order to get the admiration and respect of the people around us. While a person can buy a 30-room mansion, they can only live in one room at a time, and while they might be able to buy an expensive Rolls Royce, it can't take them anywhere that they can't get to in a Volkswagen Beetle. So the primary reason we want money is to impress others. We want money so people will say, "Look at that big house and expensive car! He must be special." But  Donald Trump's money is not doing that for him. Instead, people are saying, "How long can an idiot like this continue to get way with this fraud!!!?" So all of Donald's money is not doing him a bit of good - and worse, truly self-made billionaires look down on him as a joke. They see him for what he is, and he doesn't fit into their club.

Ordinarily I would feel sorry for a person like Trump, but in his case I went out and bought a case of popcorn to watch him suffer, because there's a reason for it, and he richly deserves all the pain he's suffering. The bottom line is, if you don't deal with poverty properly it can stunt your growth. The same is truth of wealth. Some people deal with wealth well, and live long and happy lives, but Trump has used his wealth to step on others and try to squeak through life without having to pay any dues. Now he's paying the price.

.
Donnie’s father, Fred, paved the way for him all of his life. As a result, unlike most of us, Donnie didn’t have to develop the intellect and character to get by in the world. Everything was bought and paid for on his behalf. According to his niece, Mary Trump, author of the tell-all book,
Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created The Most Dangerous Man In The World", instead of studying for the SAT to earn his way into college, for example, Donnie simply paid someone else to take the test for him, and instead of developing the character to make and develop friendships, he simply used his money to buy superficial friendships. As a result, he’s left today with an underdeveloped intellect, and he lacks the character to be a good person and loyal friend. Thus, all he is today is an empty shell of a man completely motivated by the need get whatever it is he wants through hook or crook, and to hide his many flaws and weaknesses at any and all costs - and often, at the expense of others.
.
That’s why he’s such a profuse liar. He has such a flawed and weak personality that he has to bend reality to accommodate all of his shortcomings to maintain his self-esteem. Donald Trump is much like Mr. Wizard, a little midget of a man hiding behind a huge fake image. His entire persona is fake. That’s why he's so enamored with the word – everything  he doesn't like is “fake”, according to Trump. That’s because he uses himself as a standard by which to judge the rest of the world, and he's a fake human being.
.
BECOMING PRESIDENT

When Hillary lost the 2016 election and Donnie found himself standing in the wings, he didn’t know what to do with himself, because, yet again, he hadn't earned what had been dropped in his lap. He didn't win the presidency, Hillary lost it, and Putin saw to it that Trump got it - and Putin had a good reason for wanting Trump to win; he had two reasons, actually. First, he had Trump in his pocket; and secondly,  because Trump is so flawed as n individual, his success became a liability for America and a win for Russia. And just as Putin had anticipated, Trump was completely unprepared to be President, or anything else other than an incompetent blowhard. So on the one hand, while his dream of finally getting the recognition and respect that he's always sought had finally come true, on the other, now he'd have to actually perform. But in his arrogance, and his inability to think beyond the moment he's living in, he thought, "Now I’ll show em!"
.

What Donnie failed to recognize was, becoming president was the worst thing that could have ever happened to him, because now he could no longer posture and contort reality to make himself look good, and being President would bring the kind of scrutiny into his abilities that he's never had to deal with before. So now he would have to actually perform and demonstrate his competence, instead of just brag bout it. That was an immediate problem for a man who'd gone bankrupt 6 (SIX!) times, had been propped up by his father’s wealth all his life, and had failed at everything he'd ever attempted other than selling his father's name. In addition, it would also bring along with it a close examination of his level of competence and his personal life.
.
Any other man, who had even a smidgeon of intelligence, could have worked around that. He would simply surround himself with the nation's most brilliant minds to help him run the government. But due to Trump’s flawed character, that was out of the question. First, he’s so insecure that having people around him who could actually think was a direct threat to the image he’d spent his life trying to forge, since it would be far too easy for them to figure out that he was an idiot and a fraud. And secondly, he resented having to share the spotlight with anyone else. As a result, he’s built an administration made up of fellow idiots and some of the biggest frauds in the country. That’s why his administration is a revolving door.  After all,  any  person who could be loyal to Trump and not feel a responsibility to warn the nation of what a danger he is to society would, by definition, have to be either an idiot him or herself, or completely corrupt and self-serving. Bill Barr is a perfect case in point.
.
So what we now have, is not a president who tries to live up to, and build upon the accomplishments of previous administrations, but one who slanders and tries to sabotage the accomplishments of previous administrations so he can either bring attention to himself, or distract from his other acts of stupidity that betray his incompetence. His gutting of the Iran nuclear agreement is a perfect example of that.
.
It is for precisely that reason that we must rid ourselves of this man. America simply cannot afford to place our future in the hands of a self-serving lunatic. Let me explain why:
.
It has been reported that Black conservative, Herman Cain, has recently died of the Coronavirus a mere few weeks after attending one of Trump’s rallies. While it’s always sad to hear about anyone’s death, the needless death of many conservatives is an act of God and a perfect metaphor for life under Donald Trump – or, make that, death under Donald Trump.
.
Nature sees to it that excellence is always given the best chance to survive and reproduce. It’s called survival of the fittest. That’s how nature continues to improve itself. But many of Trump’s conservative supporters are proving that they lack the common sense necessary to contribute to the betterment of humanity, so nature is using their poor judgment regarding the Coronavirus (among other things) to weed them out. So what we’re witnessing under Trump is, essentially, the final gasp of the Neanderthals. So it is essential that we utilize every bit of our common sense so we won't perish along with them – and they’re trying mightily to take us along for the ride.
.
As a direct result of Trump’s fixation on placing his personal interest over and above what’s in the best interest of the nation, the United States has not only lost 150,000 citizens, but has also lost much of our standing in the world among friends and foes alike. In the three and a half years that Trump has been in office we’ve gone from one crisis or food fight after another on nearly a daily basis.  And what has he accomplished? He’s only succeeded in making the United States the laughingstock of the world, and making himself look like the complete idiot and incompetent fool that indeed he is.
.
But in spite of his glaring idiocy, now he wants us to completely ignore one of the worst pandemics the world has ever experienced, and put our children's lives in danger by sending them back to school where they can become infected by this deadly disease, and in many cases die, or in other cases continue to spread it throughout the nation. And why is he asking us to make this horrific sacrifice? - for no other reason than to hide his incompetent and improve his chances of being re-elected. The man is completely mindless. But just as horrifying as he is, is the number of people who can’t see through his mindless idiocy. Look at the fix that Florida and the state of Texas are in by trying to follow his dysfunctional lead.
.
So, no, it’s not surprising that Trump won’t be paying his respect to Rep. John Lewis. It’s far too humiliating for him. This entire episode started with one deluded dream of Trump's incompetent mind.  If Donald Trump - with all his money, bigotry, and GOP support - could be granted his most passionate desire, it would be to get the kind of admiration and respect that seems to be the exclusive domain of just one man - a Black man -  Barack Hussein Obama. Due to Donnie's irrational need to feel superior President Obama has become the object of Donnie's obsession, and the bane of his existence. So, no, it is not the least bit surprising that Donald wouldn't want to honor another Black man as he lies in state. The symbolism is far too painful for a small, envious, and bigoted mind to endure.
