DONALD TRUMP MUST BE INDICTED, CONVICTED, AND IMPRISONED FOR SEDITION – PERIOD

DONALD TRUMP MUST BE INDICTED, CONVICTED, AND IMPRISONED FOR SEDITION – PERIOD

The mere thought of letting Donald Trump off the hook in the interest of “bringing the nation together” is ridiculous. It not only won’t work, but it sends the wrong message to future seditionists. The American philosophy is supposed to be equal justice under the law, but we’ve established a pattern of always letting the influential off the hook. If we’d sent Nixon, Reagan, George W. Bush, and Dick Cheney to prison for their crime sprees, Donald Trump might not have been so reckless - but, then again, we can never know about Trump, because he lacks common sense.
.
Nevertheless, the belief that letting criminals skate on their crimes help to bring the nation back together is a myth. Let's call it what it really is, caving in to the threat of further violence. People like Trump specialize in exploiting weakness, so they're prone to being disruptive regardless to how civil we try to be. In fact, such people see compassion as a form of weakness, so that gives them free reign, and Donald Trump is a perfect example of that. On the other hand, Donald Trump is a coward and a self-serving bully, so he would never do anything that was sure to bring painful repercussions. Thus, by continuing to let criminals off the hook just because they have power and influence only makes them less concerned about the consequences of committing their crimes. So the issue should be non-debatable - anyone who lodges an assault against our democracy should be thrown in jail, or worse.
.
Sedition is such a serious threat to our way of life that it's the one crime in which we should consider the death penalty. Trump wanted to reinstate the firing squad, so it would send an ironic message if he became the first one to get it - and I'm dead serious. If we're serious about defending our democracy, we have to establish laws that reflect that attitude. After all, we're talking about people who are out to completely overthrow our way of life. So, letting them off the hook for the sake of civility? A society that stupid doesn't deserve a democracy, and they won't have one long.
.
Insurrectionists are not interested in coming together. The only reason they're insurrectionists in the first place is because they're only interested in taking over our government by force. So, Trump should be convicted in the senate, indicted as a private citizen, convicted, and imprisoned for life, if for no other reason than to make an example of him as a warning to other mindless dictator wannabes who may be left in the wings, and as we saw on January 6th, there are many of them. These people don't get it. They were playing around in our nation's capitol like children playing in a sandbox. So the American people must make it perfectly clear to such people that we have no tolerance for anyone who seeks to undermine American democracy. And since sedition, which is essentially treason, is the worse crime that can be committed against this nation, it should be treated as such.

.

Far too many of us believe that because we have common sense, everybody else has at least enough common sense to define limits to their behavior. But as we've seen in the case of Donald Trump, that's not the case. There are a large number of people in this world who only want what they want and will go to any extent to get it. It's not only a form of ignorance, but a form of mental illness. So, we've got to protect ourselves from such people by dropping the hammer on them - a sledgehammer. And that's what we've got to do with Donald Trump, and all of his reckless followers. Otherwise they'll convince themselves that their reckless behavior is the key to achieving their goals.
.
Thus, people who commit insurrection against this country should be shown no mercy, regardless of who they are, or for what reason. In America, we take our grievances to court, and if we lose, that's it. That's the American way. Anything else is un-American.
We would never think of letting a murderer off the hook in an attempt to bring the nation together, yet, sedition is the attempted murder of our democracy, so the very thought of showing any leniency towards those who engage in it is outrageous.

.

After Trump lost the 2020 election, he purposely conspired to throw out the will of the people and undermine our democracy. He not only used every means at his disposal, but tried to invent new ways of telling the American people to go to Hell, he was going to remain president whether we liked it or not. He even accused his own whimperingly loyal vice president of failing to exhibit “the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution”, after Pence summoned the courage to confirmed in a letter the Wednesday morning of the insurrection that he did not believe he had “unilateral authority to decide which electoral votes should be counted”- and for once, he was right.

.
Earlier that week, Pence was said to have endured a lunch with Trump in which he tried to explain that he lacked the constitutional authority to block the certification of Joe Biden's election win, and that his function was merely ceremonial. Further, in a letter Wednesday, he told Trump: "It is my considered judgment that my oath to support and defend the Constitution constrains me from claiming unilateral authority to determine which electoral votes should be counted and which should not." And Pence was right. If a vice president had the authority to pick and choose which votes would be accepted, it would be impossible to ever vote any administration out of office. So the very thought of it was a reflection of Trump's insane disregard for democracy. It reflected Donald's "Trump First" philosophy in life.

.

A source told The Wall Street Journal that the president was furious, telling Pence: "I don't want to be your friend — I want you to be the vice president." Trump didn’t give a damn about either the Constitution, or, throwing out the will of the people. He has clearly demonstrated on numerous occasions that he doesn’t care about the Constitution, he doesn’t care about the American people, and he doesn’t care about America. All Trump cares about is Donald Trump. That’s a huge part of his mental instability, and it’s also what makes him so dangerous. The only difference between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump is Putin has a functional intellect and mental stability, and Trump has neither.

.

Trump was terrified when it became clear that he was going to run against Joe Biden, because he knew that the people would associate Biden with Barack Obama, the man Trump most feared, and hated, on Earth. In addition, Biden was mainstream enough for many conservatives to accept over Trump's petulant immaturity and incompetence. Trump's knowledge and fear of that fact is why he was impeached the first time. He was so fearful of Biden that he tried to extort a foreign power to undermine him through slander.

.

Trump was desperate to hold on to power for several reasons. First, due to his gross insecurity, lack of class, and mental instability, he couldn't stand the thought of looking like a loser, because that’s exactly what he’s been all of his life, and he was desperate to hide that fact. After being propped up and bailed out by his father all of his life, and then falling into bankruptcy six times in spite of his father's Herculean efforts, Trump has always been desperate to portray himself as a competent and self-made man. So a high-profile loss to anyone was beyond his emotional endurance, but to lose to Joe Biden, Barack Obama's Vice President, would be devastating. That's why in spite of the fact that his behavior was childish and classless, he couldn't force himself to attend Joe Biden's inauguration. From his perspective, it would have been a public humiliation. It would have made him look like a loser before the entire world.
.
Secondly, losing to Joe Biden would mean that he not only couldn't compete with Barack Obama, but he couldn’t even compete with Obama’s former subordinate. To Trump that meant that he’d not only be a loser, but a loser to a Black man, and due to his racist disposition, having to confront that reality would be the Hell of all Hells.
.

That same fear also motivates much of Trump's base. That's why they're so zealously loyal to him. They're scared to death of having to compete on a level playing field with non-Whites without having a leg up by virtue of the color of their skin - and the brilliant 22-year-old Amanda Gorman, the principle poet at the Joe Biden inauguration is a perfect example of why. Which one of Trump's insurrectionists who attacked our capitol do you think could compete with her talent and powerful intellect? She made Donald Trump look illiterate. At 22 years old, she demonstrated a maturity and wisdom that far exceeds the petulance and immaturity of the 74-year-old Donald Trump. So, she represents the perfect symbol of Trump's insecurity, and the true source of his frustration. And she also represents the frustration of Trump's followers - "It not fair; we're White, so we're the ones who are suppose to shine!" Thus, Amanda, and the many more like her, are the reason that Trump's desperate horde attacked the womb of our democracy. They want to delude themselves into believing they're superior, but they lack the intellectual acuity to prove it, and America is failing in its responsibility to protect their interest. Thus, their chant - "You won't replace us".
.
AMANDA GORMAN

"Amanda Gorman is the youngest inaugural poet in U.S. history, as well as an award-winning writer and cum laude graduate of Harvard University, where she studied Sociology. She has written for the New York Times and has three books forthcoming with Penguin Random House."
.

But Trump's problems are far more serious than his inability to compete. Trump also knew that if he lost the presidency he’d be stripped bare, and he'd be exposed to numerous legal liabilities. In addition, his finances would be revealed, exposing the fact that he’s not nearly the man that he’s been trying to portray himself to be. And beyond that, he’d be facing a ton of debt and lose his ability to manipulate the system against charges of tax fraud. So, Trump, as we’ve seen through his behavior since losing the election, was absolutely desperate, and his reaction to his desperation was completely predictable. In fact, it was predicted:

A PREDICTION BEARS FRUIT:

TRUMP WILL CLAIM FRAUD IF HE LOSES

 THE ELECTION

The above video is absolute proof that Trump's claims of election fraud is a complete sham. It was predicted that he was going to claim fraud if he lost the election, and that was eight weeks before a single vote was casted. Yes, it was predicted eight weeks before the election that the only result that Trump would accept was a win, and that he would consider a loss as fraudulent, regardless of the circumstances or validity of the election. In Trump's deluded mind the only fair election is one where he wins - period. So, what Trump was demanding, was that America take the place of his daddy and simply give him what he wanted, regardless of whether earned it or not. The prediction is undeniable proof that Trump is both desperate and dangerous, and a 24 karat fraud.

.

So, the senate has an absolute obligation to convict Donald Trump. Failing to do so will be a gross abdication of their responsibility to both the Constitution, and, the American people. It will clearly show that they’ve placed their own self-interests before that of the nation, the people, and the  United States Constitution. And if that proves to be the case, they are of absolutely no use to the nation. After all, what is the use of having soldiers who are too cowardly to face the enemy?
