TO A FRIEND WHO TURNED OUT TO BE A TRUMP SUPPORTER

I recently met a guy online by the name of Howard, and we rapidly became friends. I won’t give his last name as I’d planned because we had also planned to write this piece together, but it turned out that, that wasn’t meant to be. 

. 

Howard and I are both widowers and we both loved and currently miss our late wives desperately, so it wasn’t a bit unusual that we immediately connected. I liked this guy upon first contact, and with the pain of our mutual loss in common, when we first spoke over the phone I felt like I was talking to a fellow traveler and someone I had known for years. 

. 

It turned out that we were also both passionate in our political views as well - I, a passionate progressive, and he’s just as passionate in his support of Donald Trump. Once we recognized our unusual situation, we decided to not only try to navigate it, but to try to turn it to our advantage by using our unique connection to get a better understanding of what motivates the political opposition. We recognized that we had an excellent opportunity to address the differences in our political philosophies without having to deal with the attendant hostility. We even spoke of collaborating on this article together, so I sent him these first three paragraphs in an attempt to try set the tone.

But it turned out that, that wasn’t as easy as it sounded. When I asked Howard to explain to me why he supported Donald Trump, he asked me to give him a couple of days to think about it, but he never got back with me with a response. So I decided to turn it around and I started writing him about some of the many things I found wrong with Trump, and asked him how he could possibly ignore them. I also sent him the video below, and evidence of alleged Trump and Russian collusion reported by a Trump administration whistleblower:

FURTHER EVIDENCE OF TRUMP-RUSSIAN COLLUSION

On 9/11/20 the Washington Post reported that “Last week, the director of national intelligence, Trump loyalist John Ratcliffe, told Congress that he would suspend in-person briefings on foreign election interference. This week, Brian Murphy, who until recently was a senior intelligence official at DHS, came forward with a whistleblower’s complaint alleging that senior department officials told him to falsify intelligence to play down Russian attacks and play up the purported threat from China and Iran. Murphy quotes acting DHS secretary Chad Wolf telling him that those instructions came straight from the White House.” 

. 

In response, Howard posted the following:

“To all my friends here, I sit in a brown recliner and have my computer on my lap. It is quiet and I marvel at the sense of community I feel here. The sense of quiet confidence with a driving goal. To reelect the President. It is lovely. I have not belonged like this in a while.”

 . 

That told me two things – first, that Howard couldn’t tell me why he supported Trump, and second, that he had decided to ignore Trump's flaws - even his possible treason.

Prior to getting to know Howard I would have simply written someone like him off as just an ignorant fascist. But now I’m left with a dilemma – I know that’s not the case. I wish it were, because then I would have been able to simply dismiss him and move on. But now I can’t dismiss him – at least, not without knowing that I was being remiss. Because I know for a fact that Howard is not the least bit ignorant, and I’m confident that he’s not a bigoted fascist. So how then do I explain his seeming blind loyalty to Donald Trump?

People like Howard, who are ordinarily intelligent and insightful people, yet, for some reason have a visceral attachment to a self-serving, bigoted, and corrupt politician like Donald Trump can’t simply be ignored, because they represent an insidious element within our body politic, and also a serious threat to our democracy. It’s not the people themselves that’s the problem, but the conditions that continue to create such people that represent a threat to our way of life. So to simply ignore what I’ve found to be the case here without examination would not only be reckless, but dangerously remiss, because it would be like ignoring a cancer that's quietly eating away at our society.

I’ve come to the conclusion that while many of the people who support Trump are indeed simply bigots, there are many, like Howard, who may not be consciously racist at all, but they’ve simply become accustomed to the relative comfort of a racist America. In the past, as they struggled through their lives they had the comfort of knowing that regardless to how challenging life became, they would always be protected from being at the bottom of the barrel. But that’s no longer the case. Now that they’ve seen a Black man become one of our most honored Presidents, a Black woman running for Vice President, and hordes of non-White individuals moving to the very top of our society, they feel both insecure, and under an intense threat for their own survival.

And I can understand how they feel. It was one thing to see a young Black man like myself coming up back in the day, because I wasn't a threat, but it's completely another to see brilliant young, highly educated Black people like my grandkids coming up, because they are indeed more than capable of leaving many White folks behind. They have the confidence, education, and creativity to do it. Because they realize what we call "soul" is nothing less than creative brilliance straining to be unleashed, and it can be applied to much more than just music.

. 

That’s why “Make America Great Again” is such a popular slogan - because it recalls a time when America was great for White people and they were relatively secure. But the fact is, America has never been great in the sense that it’s been propagandized, and highly educated young Black people clearly recognize that fact, so now the chickens are coming home to roost. 

.

As I pointed out in a previous article, during the "Manifest Destiney" era (when Europeans came here and claimed that "God wants us to have this land"), and after being welcomed here by the Native Americans, they responded by presenting hosts with disease-infected blankets, and then brought in their army to eradicate them. So while we condemn the Nazis for killing 6 million Jews, American settlers killed as many as 10 generations of Native Americans in order to rob them of their land – and Trump is still robbing them of their natural resources as we speak.

MAKE AMERICA GREAT
AGAIN

In addition, they moved on to either kill or make the lives of millions of African slaves miserable. Then after slavery, there was the Jim Crow era in which millions of African-Americans were discriminated against, brutalized, and in many cases murdered. And during that same time, the nation was also involved in WWII where Japanese-American citizens had their property seized and entire families were placed in concentration camps. In addition, the United States dropped not one, but TWO atomic bombs on the innocent men, women and children of Japan - and since they were noncombatants, that made it THE MOST horrendous act of terrorism in ALL of human history. 

. 

But even then, “America the Beautiful” still wasn’t done - it went on to kill 3.1 million Vietnamese (2 million of which were innocent civilian men, women, and children), and then they did the very same thing to the people of Iraq (they were more compassionate with Iraqis, however - they only killed a million of them), and for no reason whatsoever, other than they didn’t like the cut of their jib. 

. 

So American history is the most blatant lie ever told in the history of mankind. In America's short 244-years of existence America has undoubtedly been THE most brutally evil nation in human history. While some enlightened Americans - both Christian and non-Christian - are still willing to fight for what America COULD be, the Trumplodytes are waging Holy Hell against even that - and ironically, the so-called “Evangelical Christians” are screaming the loudest, which speaks volumes about who they really are. 

. 

This is why Howard can’t tell me what he likes about Trump. While he craves the security that our brutal past provided White people, on a subconscious level he recognizes the price that was paid for White security in terms of injustice and immorality. That makes it impossible for Howard to explain what he likes about Trump without also embracing the truth about our past and what Trump actually represents, and right-wing Christians have the exact same problem. So instead of clearly stating what they really like about Trump, MAGA fans embrace their ambiguous slogan, “Make America Great Again”. That allows them to embrace White supremacy with a wink, but without actually having to claim it as their philosophy. But that’s exactly what America has always been, a hell-hole of White supremacy since its very inception.

But what Howard and his cohorts don't understand is, they're being bamboozled. As Trump's recklessly self-centered response to the Coronavirus clearly demonstrates, Trump and the GOP don't care any more about poor White folks than they do Blacks. Trump sees the poor, unwashed White masses as merely useful idiots to be used in his pursuit of self-aggrandizement, bigotry, and greed, and his all-inclusive bigotry also frowns upon poor White people of their motley breed.

So there you have it, Howard. Tell me where I’m wrong.

Donald Trump’s idiotic response to “The Squad” (Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib) saying, "They should go back where they came from", and his criticism of Colin Kaepernick for having the audacity to peacefully protest the brutal killing of innocent Black people by rogue cops, once again betrays his astounding ignorance of what America is all about. The very flag that he’s claiming these people are disrespecting is a symbol of the American tradition of speaking out against injustice, and his attempt to deny Americans that right threatens to render the American flag just another piece of cloth. America was founded on protesting injustice. What IS un-American, however, is being too cowardly to defend that tradition, as Trump was during the Vietnam War, but Trump has a genius for seeing everybody's shortcomings but his own.

Thus, Trump’s vision of what it means to be an American is based on racist latter-day propaganda that's grounded in ugliness, bitterness, bigotry and greed rather than the founding fathers' vision of freedom and justice for all. The man is not only an ignorant buffoon, but a smudge on the ideal of American democracy - and anyone who follows his lead is not only un-American, but certainly can’t claim to be a Christian.

Yet, many on the "Christian" Right claim that Trump was sent here by God. Well, maybe he

was, because we're told that God works in mysterious ways. So maybe God sent Trump here to test their faith. He's clearly demonstrating, for example, that in spite of the fact that Vice President Mike Pence has been going around all of his adult life bragging about how much he loves the Lord, he's now passionately embracing this evil, lying, Herod-like infidel instead. So it is now crystal clear that while Pence may love the Lord, he doesn't love him nearly as much as he loves the idea of possibly becoming President of the United States; and while right-wing "Christians" claim to love their neighbor, they have absolutely no problem with putting them in cages. So it's going to be quite interesting to see them trying to justify their faux Christian propaganda before God.

MIKE PENCE - A "CHRISTIAN" TOADY

These people better hope that Christianity is a myth, because if it's not, they're all going to burn in Hell throughout eternity. You can't be mean-spirited, evil and bigoted towards others and then claim to follow Jesus:
"It's not that I hate everyone who doesn't look, think, and act like me - it's just that God does."
They're trying to use the Bible to justify their bigotry, just like they used it to justify their brutal atrocities during slavery. So if there's any justice in the world, they're going to pay for their gross hypocrisy dearly.

Muslims are also our neighbors, but because we covet their oil, the American propaganda machine tells us that Muslims are a hostile people who hate American freedom so they must be invaded "to protect our national interest". But the most cursory examination reveals that the evidence that claim is based upon is highly flawed. Yet, the American people have been persuaded that it's true. That suggests that the American people have learned absolutely nothing from our experience with the Nazis, and it also suggests that the biggest threat to America is the propaganda machine itself.

The primary argument against the claim that Muslims are inherently hostile toward America is the fact that we had absolutely no problem with Muslims at all until we - Western "Christians" and Zionist - began our imperialistic excursion into the Middle East. Prior to that time Muslims were content to be left alone to practice their religion in their own lands. And there's another thing that should be glaringly obvious to everyone - Muslims are not invading our land, we're invading theirs. So who's the hostile aggressor? Thus, the pattern is always the same, regardless to whether we're talking about Vietnam, Iraq, or here in the inner cities - the White establishment ALWAYS finds a way to justify their self-serving aggression towards others, and ALWAYS while carrying a Bible in their hand - "Dear Lord, please help us to kill more of them than they do us".

So when we consider Muslim hostility towards America we must keep two things in

mind. First, we need to consider all the hell we raised over the loss of 3000 citizens during 9/11.  If we've been impacted to our core over the loss of 3000 Americans, how do you think Muslims feel over the loss of hundreds of thousands of their people resulting from the unjust and illegal invasion of Iraq? And again, we must remember that while we're quick to call Muslims aggressors, we're invading their countries, they're not invading ours.

And with respect to our accomplice, the state of Israel, why are they persecuting the Palestinians? The Palestinians weren’t responsible for the holocaust, it was the Germans. So why aren’t they demanding a Jewish homeland in Germany? I’ll tell you why – because the Germans are White and they weren’t having it, so the Zionists chose an easier mark. The Zionists came to the conclusion that the Germans were not going to tolerate their nonsense for a minute, and besides, they'd had their fill with the Germans, so they decided to go and steal the land of non-White people. Prior to deciding upon Palestine, they had their eye on Zaire, Africa.

In 1948 America agreed with the Zionists, so now, the American propaganda machine dictates that it’s unpatriotic to criticize Israel. There was even a

bill pending in congress attempting to make it illegal to even request information regarding boycotting the state of Israel.

According to the ACLU, Sen. Ben Cardin proposed legislation that would “bar U.S. persons from supporting boycotts against Israel, including its settlements in the Palestinian occupied territories conducted by international governmental organizations, such as the United Nations and the European Union. It would also... include penalties for simply requesting information about such boycotts. Violations would be subject to a minimum civil penalty of $250,000 and a maximum criminal penalty of $1 million and 20 years in prison. The Israel Anti-Boycott Act (S. 720) would impose civil and criminal punishment on individuals solely because of their political beliefs about Israel and its policies.” The bill is not only unconstitutional, but un-American.}

Why can't Israel be criticized for committing atrocities just like any other country? Considering the gross atrocities it's committing against the Palestinian people, they

certainly deserve it. Israel is currently engaged in the Manifest Destiny II. Based on their behavior Netanyahu and Israeli right-wing Zionists should be ashamed to face the world; they’re making a mockery of their very own outrage over the Nazi holocaust. Is murder only evil when it’s committed against Jews, and how is the atrocities they're committing against the Palestinian people any different from what Hitler did to the Jews during WWII? The answer is, there's absolutely no difference  - they just haven't heated up the ovens, at least, not yet. That's all Rep. Ilhan Omar is trying to point out - and it has nothing to do with either her lack of love for America, or hatred of Jews. Yet, Dubious Donnie (Putin's puppet), has demanded that she go back where she came from.

And now Trump has gone even farther. In betrayal of his gross ignorance of simple 8th grade civics, Trump tweeted,  "It would show great weakness if Israel allowed Rep. Omar and Rep.Tlaib to visit. They hate Israel & all Jewish people, & there is nothing that can be said or done to change their minds. Minnesota and Michigan will have a hard time putting them back in office. They are a disgrace!" In response, the state of Israel, the United States' number one recipient of foreign aid, has denied two members of congress entry into the country as part of a congressional fact-finding delegation. The Democrats should cancel the trip in response.

All these two members of congress were doing was speaking out and reflecting American ideals, but Trump neither know, nor care, anything about such "nonsense"; all he knows about is what's in the best interest of Donald Trump - and what's so ironic about it is, a large part of his most enthusiastic supporters have a passionate hatred of not only Zionists, but ALL Jews. Yet, Trump says they're very good people. And during his 2016 campaign against Hillary Clinton he posted a picture of Hillary next to a Jewish symbol and a pile of money, suggesting that Hillary was in collusion with the Jews to takeover America. Thus, Trump cares absolutely nothing about either Israel, or Jews as a whole. All he cares about - as usual - is how they can benefit him personally.

The truth is, right-wing Israeli Zionists need to stop being such fascist hypocrites, and Trump - and all the other politicians who are criticizing them - need to stop trying to use the Palestinian massacre as a tool to garner political advantage. Criticizing the Israeli atrocities waged against the Palestinian people is neither unpatriotic, nor anti-Semitic - it's anti-Zionist, and there's a big difference. God didn't promise any plot of land to anyone. So in order for true justice to prevail, the United States should go to the aid of the Palestinian people just like we went to the aid of the Jewish people during WWII - and we certainly shouldn't be financing that atrocity or denying members of congress their right to the freedom of speech. Donald Trump would recognize that fact if he weren't an autocratic-prone, self-serving  illiterate.

But both right-wing Israelis, and right-wing Americans tend to believe that the lives of their people (at least, their White people) are more valuable than the lives of others. When Americans are killed we never stop talking about it. It, literally, goes down in the history books as an unspeakable atrocity frowned upon by God. But when Americans or Israelis kill innocent men, women and children in other countries, we simply say, "Oops, sorry 'bout that", then expect the people to forget about it and go on about their lives.

But American politicians must adhere to the propaganda machine just to survive in this political environment. Look at what Obama said about Bush and Cheney's war crimes - "We want to look forward, not back." What the hell was he talking about? Bush killed close to a million people for nothing more than the theft of oil and the benefit of Dick Cheney's Haliburton, so how can we expect to dismiss the killing of a million men, women, and children by simply saying, let's let bygones be bygones? One can only wonder if Obama would have taken that position if his family had been among the million killed? Somehow, I doubt it.

It was that one remark that opened my eyes regarding politicians in general. While I consider Obama the best that we've had, he’s a politician nevertheless, so we must closely watch ALL politicians and not allow ourselves to get caught up in a personality cult. While Barack Obama was one of our greatest presidents, he was far from an angel – none of them are. You can’t be an angel and survive in their business, so his remark served to remind me that Obama is also the product of the propaganda machine - he was a captive of it just like the others. So, while I continue to admire Obama (mainly, because he was the best among viable alternatives), I never allow myself to forget that even though he's an impressive man, he's also a politician, not the Messiah. Thus, America must never forget that politicians are not our leaders, they’re our employees. So, it is up to us to set the moral standards of this nation, and that entails clear and objective thought when it comes to the just treatment of others, including our own citizens.

Americans must recognize that life is not a football game. It's not good enough to just pull for our side, regardless to whether we're talking about the nation, political parties, or individual politicians. We must always pull for justice, regardless of whose political ox it gores.  Because if we continue to allow the propaganda machine to cloud our minds to the truth, none of us will be safe. It's Muslims, Blacks and Hispanics who are being demonized today, but tomorrow it may be Jews, activists, the entire middle class, or Eskimos. Whatever group deemed necessary to demonize to meet our rulers' needs can be targeted overnight. And yes, I said rulers, because those who control our minds, control our destiny.

The propaganda machine is an insidious device, because it tells us what we want to

hear, and it helps us to hide what we don't want to see, so it has the seductive properties of a drug. Take the issue of terrorism for example. Terrorism is defined as the killing of innocent noncombatants for political gain. Keeping that definition in mind, we must not forget that we are the ONLY country on Earth who has ever dropped an atomic bomb on not one, but two cities, killing and maiming hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women, and children indiscriminately. So, as horrible as 9/11 was, the horror of that atrocity makes 9/11 look insignificant. 

.

But by accepting the fact that we committed such a horrible atrocity is inconsistent with the image that we so passionately embrace of "That shining light on the hill," so our propaganda machine swung into action. It helped us to justify the action by convincing us that we only did it to save the lives of thousands of American troops. But there's a very serious flaw in that argument. By embracing it, it affirms that we also accept the fact that there are times when terrorism is justified. Thus, by our own definition, the United States is, in fact, a terrorist state. Thus, the fact is, the only difference between Muslim terrorists and American, or "Christian," terrorists is that we have a much more efficient delivery system. 
.
But now, our hypocrisy is coming back to bite us. Under Donald Trump the propaganda machine has been revved up to commit crimes against the American people themselves, by demonizing our national institutions, and undermining our legal system.

Republican Rep. Steve Scalise said, “Even after a 2-year, $25 million dollar witch hunt

and a disastrous Mueller Hearing, impeaching @realDonaldTrump is still the only thing Democrats can focus on. There was no collusion! They need to let it go and get back to work for the American people.”
.
That was, and is, total nonsense, so it is essential that the American people waste no time in running these traitorous scoundrels out of office. Every time they open their mouths a lie drips out. Even their fellow Republicans can see it. Five Republican members of the house have chosen to retire just this week, and nine this year, rather than run for re-election under Donald Trump. Rep. Will Hurd, the only Black Republican congressman in the House of Representatives, just announced that he would not be seeking re-election. And as for the $25 million that Rep. Scalise was complaining so vociferously about spending on the investigation into Trump's criminality, that's chump change. Trump has spent $106.25 million just playing golf. So these people are trying to delude the American people with smoke and mirrors.

Now, before Trump supporters get all upset and start jumping up and down shouting that I'm un-American, please remember that truth and justice is the American way - and what I've just told you is both true and just. What I've said here is not simply my opinion. Every word I've written is verifiable and based on truth and logic - and like mathematics, truth and logic don't lie.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ZIONISM AND RACISM - NOTHING

THAT'S WHY TRUMP AND NETANYAHU GET ALONG SO WELL

The atrocities that the Israelis are currently committing against the Palestinian people is no less evil and unconscionable than what the Nazis committed against the Jews during WWII.  With that said, I’m about to engage in a discussion that I generally make it a point to avoid – discuss the collective nature of White folks.
.
The reason I make it a point to avoid this subject is because I don’t want to add to the disinformation disseminated by many Black racists (oh yes, racists come in Black too), and that is, that there is something more intrinsically evil in White people than there is in any other racial group. The tendency to be brutal and unjust is not race-based, it's all about greed and opportunity.  Clear evidence of that can be seen on the continent of Africa where Black people are committing some of the most brutal atrocities anywhere in the world against one another, and you also see it among other groups of people based on religion, greed, and politics, and we're now seeing it in Israel.

.

The fact is, as humans, just as intellect is distributed equally across our species, so is malevolence. We all have a tendency to be self-serving and corrupt given half a chance. The only difference between White people and any other group is that they have the power (for now, at least), thus the opportunity to reflect that side of their nature – and again, for anyone who wants to challenge my assertion in that regard, I invite you to witness the Black-on-Black mayhem that’s currently taking place on the continent of Africa, or take the police out of the Black, or White, communities of America and watch the level of enlightenment that prevails – it would be the survival of the fittest within a week.

.

So it seems that the common trait shared by all those who tend to be inhumane, brutal and corrupt is neither race, creed, nor color, as the state of Israel is currently making perfectly clear. What murderers, Nazis, and brutes all have in common is power, opportunity, and greed - and let there be no doubt about it, that’s the source of most of the turmoil in the Middle-East. The power, opportunity, and greed of Israel and the American military/industrial complex makes them no different than Hitler and his storm troopers.  But whenever anyone seeks to objectively examine the reality this issue they’re immediately met with hysterical charges of being either unpatriotic, anti-Semitic, or both. As a result, while everyone is aware of the problem, we tend to turn a blind eye to it.

.

But this is an issue that desperately needs to be addressed, because due to our failure to do so, American troops are dying, the United States Treasury is being looted, and the entire world is being placed at risk. So enough with all of the name-calling and accusations, Israel’s behavior needs to be scrutinized just like any other country in the world.

.

Pure, objective, and unadulterated truth is not nearly as complicated or elusive as we try to make it seem in this country. But since truth doesn’t lend itself to being Black, White, Jew, or Gentile, when the truth comes up less than a perfect fit to our carefully constructed comfort zone, we tend to beat, distort, and convolute it into a more comfortable fit. The entire rationale behind Zionism is a perfect example of that.
.
We do ourselves a gross injustice by failing to address Zionism in a straight forward manner, because no matter how you distort it, truth will always prevail in the end, and our attempt to elude truth is the source of most of our problems in this world. We all seek to distort the truth in a way that is most palatable to our special interest – and this problem is magnified by the fact that our writers, political pundits, and politicians have a natural tendency to seek applause and self-interest over truth. So if we’re indeed dependent on the truth to set us free, let us not doom ourselves to a life of death, carnage, and intellectual bondage by living a lie - and the truth is, regardless to what hardships the Jews have endured, that does not give them the right to rob others of their land.

Trying to live a lie has repercussions.  It leads to  poor and middle-class young people being wooed by slick government commercials to become cannon fodder in wars to sustain that lie. But take it from an old Marine, young people; it only leads to you giving up your life to accommodate the selfishness and greed of others. The government will woo you with the glamour of military life. They'll show you standing there proud and strong in your spotless uniform at home with all the girls looking at you with admiring eyes. But they won't show you the real picture - the picture that Trump, his father, and grandfather went out of their way to avoid. They won't show you lying in 110 degree heat in agony thousands of miles from home bleeding to death from the stub that used to be your leg, or looking at your foot in a bloody boot twenty-five yards away from where the rest of you lie dying. They’re being criminally remiss in not showing you that side of military life, and all in support of a lie.

Now, don’t get the impression that I’m a pacifist, or hate the military, however – I’m not. There IS a time when war is justified, but not to steal land from others based on a farce . You know it’s time to go to war when you’re prepared to see your own loved ones become its first casualty, but it’s abundantly clear that no one in our government has reached that point as yet. If they had, they’d be encouraging their kids to enlist.

Where is Liz Cheney, the Bush girls, or the Trumps? They can drive a truck. But no, not on your life – their idea of patriotism is cheering on the dying “little people” from the lobby of Mar-a-lago and exclusive tennis clubs, and demanding that everybody stand for a flag that none of them are willing to shed a drop of blood for - at this point, four generations of Trumps have avoided military service like the plague.  So be all that you can be, but don’t be a fool. You won’t be fighting for your country, you’ll be fighting for Exxon and Halliburton’s collusion with Israel to rob the people of the Middle East and gouge the American taxpayer.

The truth is, the dispute over Israel is nothing less than “The Manifest Destiny” being reenacted. When the Europeans came to America and began to strip the indigenous people of their land, they justified their unholy atrocities by declaring that it was "God’s will" that they settle and bring his word to this “uncivilized land”– it was their manifest destiny. So in true civilized, Christian fashion, they began to spread the Holy word of God through the hot muzzle of a Gatlin gun. It was a brutally unconscionable and gruesome event, but what could these good Christians do? After all, it was God’s will that they slaughter those “Godless savages.” That is the exact same scenario that's currently being played out in the Middle East today. It began with the “creation” of the state of Israel in 1948, and the campaign continues as I speak – but this time, it’s called Zionism, and just like with the Manifest Destiny, they've gone over there and stole the land of others, and then justified it by saying God gave it to them.

In 1882, while Jews were being massacred throughout Russia, Leo Pinsker, the founder of the Zionist movement, published a small booklet entitled “Auto-emancipation”. It pointed out that Jews would never find equality in Russia, so it was necessary for world Jewry to establish their own homeland. At first he didn’t care where it was located – in fact, the area encompassing Zaire, Africa was even considered. But later, Pinsker recognized that in order to get Jews to immigrate in numbers large enough to establish a homeland, he needed a location that would inspire the Jewish soul, and no location in the world would suit that purpose like Palestine, the land of Zion – “the land that God had promised the Jews.” The fact that there were indigenous people already living in Palestine never even crossed his mind.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines Zionism as follows: “Zionism: An organized movement of world Jewry that arose in Europe in the late 19th century with the aim of reconstituting a Jewish state in Palestine. Modern Zionism is concerned with the development and support of the state of Israel.”

Thus, Zionism, by definition and design, is a doctrine dedicated to the taking of Palestine – and on May 14, 1948, European Jews did just that. Between 1944 and 1948, due to their experience with the Nazi’s, Eastern European Jews wanted to get off the European continent by any means necessary, so various Zionist organizations created the Bariha (escape) Organization that helped close to 200,000 Jews to leave Europe and settle in Palestine. Prior to that time, in July of 1922, the League of Nations (the progenitor of the United Nations) gave Great Britain a mandate to protect the people of Palestine, but on November 29, 1947 when the U. N. General Assembly passed a resolution to partition off Palestine between the Arabs and Jews, Great Britain announced that it was terminating its mandate. The end of the British mandate was to go into effect on May 15, 1948, but on May 14, 1948 the Zionists declared the creation of Israel, a Jewish state.

But in order for the new State of Israel to have any legitimacy, it had to be recognized by the United States. The U.S. State Department was less than enthusiastic about creating a Jewish state in Palestine, but shortly after President Truman took office, European Zionist, Chaim Weizmann, convinced the president that it was only just that the survivors of the holocaust would be given their own homeland. Truman agreed, and recognized the State of Israel on May 14, 1948, and all hell’s been breaking loose ever since.

The Israeli-American alliance was a match made in Hell from the very outset – they didn’t even trust each other. One of the largest units in the CIA is dedicated to the prevention of Israeli spying on the United States, and one of the biggest spy scandals in U.S. history involved an Israeli spy name Jonathan Pollard, an American of Jewish descent, born in Galveston, Texas. But in spite of that, Israel receives more U.S. foreign aid than any other country in the world, and we’ve made them one of the most formidable military forces in the world. The reason for that?–oil.

Israel stands as an extension of the United States in the Middle East, within easy striking distance of Middle Eastern oil fields. So what we have in the Middle East is an unholy quid pro quo -The United States will help the Israelis steal Arab land, and the Israelis will help the United States steal the oil beneath the land.

So the Israeli claim that their slaughter of the Arab people is simply an attempt to defend themselves is nothing but a farce. Granted, when someone invades your home you do have a right to retaliate against them, but Europeans have about as much right to call Israel their home as I’d have of tearing off a part of China simply because I converted to Buddhism.

Far be it from me, however, to say who’s a Jew and who’s not, but I think we can all agree that European Jews are not the same Jews that were spoken of in the Bible. But, of course, you're not supposed to even whisper such sentiments here in America. To say that European Jews don’t belong in Israel, or to speak out on any atrocity that the State of Israel might commit, is considered anti- Semitic in this country. But even that’s a farce. There’s a big difference between being anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist. To be anti-Semitic is to be against a people, while being anti-Zionist is to be against a philosophy. After all, all Jews are not Zionist. But there’s another issue here as well. How can you be anti-Semitic towards Europeans? They aren’t even Semites.

The situation above describes exactly why we’re in Iraq and Afghanistan today. Thus, all of the killing in the Middle East is about European hubris, injustice, and greed. The entire justification for Europeans being in the Middle East at all, is based on a lie – and that includes Europeans by way of the United States.

How can you go into your neighbor’s home and kill his family, then call him the aggressor? And now they’re talking about invading Iran! It’s all about racism and greed. Think about it– as bad as the Germans and Russians treated the Jews over the years, you’d think the Jews would have been given part of one of those countries. If they’d done that, European Jews wouldn’t have even had to leave home. But White folks don’t play that – no matter how much they hate each other, or what kind of atrocities they've committed.  "Oh, hell no. Not our land!  Go over there and take some land from those heathens." But what's so ironic about it is, they're using their abuse during the holocaust to justify doing exactly the same thing to the Palestinians. But they seem to think that's different, and not nearly as horrific, because the Palestinians aren't White.

Don’t Allow Yourselves to Be Bamboozled, America - Obama is One of This Nation’s Greatest Presidents

There are Many people in the country who are going to accuse me of being an Obama cheerleader for what I’m about to say, but I’m not. My definition of a cheerleader is an ideologue who defends the leader of his or her team whether they are right or wrong. That’s not me. As a non-ideological progressive, I’m against mindless ideologues of any and every stripe. I’m a cheerleader for truth and for justice towards all, and it is my position that if you follow truth in the pursuit of justice, that negates the need to be ideological, because truth has no ideology, and neither does justice - and the truth is, Barack Hussein Obama is proving to be one of the greatest presidents that this country has ever had.

A conservative might challenge my assertion by saying, "You admit to being a progressive. Isn't that an ideology in itself?" In response to such a challenge, I would assert that it is not. To be a progressive is to be cognizant of the fact that this country needs change, as oppose to "conserving" the dysfunction of the past, or the status quo. So to be a progressive is not an ideology; it's a simple recognition of reality.
.
But, of course, there are many ideologues who are going to scoff at that assertion, because they’ve been blinded by the fog of their own ideology. For the same reason, there are many people in this country who are DETERMINED that you NEVER find out the truth about Barack Obama - which again, is, he is one of our GREATEST presidents - in fact, possibly among the top three. But he won’t get the recognition that he deserves until he passes in to history and his administration can be assessed objectively, and free of politics, self-service, and emotion.

There are three reasons why Obama critics are desperately trying to obscure the significance of Obama’s accomplishments. First, his competence blows the theory of White superiority all to Hell; secondly, White bigots are afraid that Obama’s success will cause the nation to want to elect more Black presidents, senators and congresspersons; and finally, Black "bligots" see Obama’s very existence as a slap in the face to their personal status, and their delusions of grandeur.
.
As a result, Obama’s critics are trying to keep America focused on their criticisms whether than the President’s accomplishments, which are numerous. A small example of which are listed directly below (with a more extensive list as an attachment at the end of this discussion) - any one of which, alone, would have insured any president a favored place in history:
.
1). He averted a second global Great Depression with his stimulus initiative.

2). He Brought America back from the Bush Disaster.

3). He saved the American auto industry.

4). He brought Osama Bin Laden to justice.

5). He punished Wall Street and got the American Taxpayer reimbursed for the Wall St. Crash.

6). He’s brought affordable health care to millions of Americans.

7). He’s lower the national deficit to its lowest point in 60 years.

8). He averted a war with Syria and got them to destroy their chemical weapons.

9). He’s got Iran to allow nuclear weapons inspectors broader access to their nuclear facilities.

10). He’s accomplished all of this with the Republican Party fighting him tooth-n-nail every step of the way.

If George W. Bush and the Republicans had been as competent in handling 9/11 and the Iraqi war, it would have saved over a trillion dollars, a million Iraqi lives, and the lives of thousands of American troops who were either killed or wounded in the Iraqi atrocity. 
.
Just imagine what Obama could have done - and still do - with a RESPONSIBLE Republican Party. Naturally, Obama haters are going to vehemently disagree with this assessment of President Obama, but when they do, simply ask them who was a greater president, and why? Then watch ‘em squirm.
