JUST IMAGINE WHAT AMERICAN HISTORY IS GOING TO SAY ABOUT THIS GENERATION OF GULLIBLE IDIOTS FOR BEING DUMB ENOUGH TO FOLLOW A COWARDLY, DRAFT-DODGING, DIPSHIT LIKE DONALD TRUMP. HE’S AN INSULT TO EVERY BRAVE AMERICAN WHO EVER DIED FOR THIS COUNTRY.

The American flag is a symbol of American values, and the freedom of expression is the very FIRST Amendment of the United States Constitution.  As a former United States Marine I can say for a fact that the Marines who died for this country didn’t die for either a piece of cloth, a song, or the opinion of a cowardly draft dodger like Trump. They died for what that beautiful  piece of cloth represents - the right for Colin Kaepernick to do exactly what he’s doing. Without that right both the American flag, and the Anthem, would be totally meaningless. The fact is, those who follow Draft-Dodging Donnie are the ones who are disrespecting our troops. Trump and his followers are diminishing the values for which our Troops gave their lives in order to allow Trump to promote bigotry and stupidity in a concerted attempt to tear this nation apart. To be complicit in that effort is what’s un-American, and it takes a complete idiot not to see that.

HERE ARE THE FACTS

Trump strutted around blustering, insulting, and publicly humiliating our closest friends and allies, and then disgracefully slobbered all over our worst enemy's ass. And he can’t blame it on “fake news” this time. When the chips were down, the true Draft-Dodgin' Donnie came out for the world to see with its own eyes - an idiot and a bully against those who can’t fight back, and a coward in the face of the enemy. He acted like Mr. Big stuff in the U.K., even walking in front of the Queen, but he became a compliant little puppy while standing next to Putin - “Did you like the way I said that, Uncle Putie?”

WHICH ONE OF THESE MEN LOOK LIKE 

A STRONG AND RESOLUTE LEADER?

Thus, for the first time in U.S. history, an American president has drenched our national pride in shame - and what made the episode even more embarrassing is Trump is, by far, the most bellicose politician in the world today. So by looking so weak next to Vladimir Putin during the Helsinki Summit, it not only served to enhance Russia’s image in the world, but caused the United States to take on the image of Donald Trump himself - a big-mouth, bloviating wimp.  It will take America generations to live down the horrible optics of that disaster.

As a result, after returning home Trump has caught hell over his disgusting performance in Europe, and rightly so, but now he’s trying to change the subject by using one of his most prolific tried-and-true tactics to get out from under the heat - stirring up internal division and turmoil among the American people to take the focus off of himself. So he recently tweeted the following:

“The NFL National Anthem Debate is alive and well again - can’t believe it! Isn’t it in contract that players must stand at attention, hand on heart? The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand. First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!”

But we shouldn’t buy into Trump’s NFL bullshit for a minute. He’s simply trying to use public division to take our minds off his disgusting display of cowardice in Helsinki. What we should actually consider is, what’s more unpatriotic, taking a knee before a football game, or running out on your country in time of war, or cowering in the face of the enemy before the entire world? Trump has done them both so we shouldn’t tolerate his hypocrisy for a second . He would lead us to believe that we should be more fixated on a piece of cloth than what that piece of cloth represents. The United States flag is a symbol of freedom, justice, and honor. So if one is denied the personal freedom of expression by being denied the right to take a knee for justice before a football game, what is the value of the flag, and why are we saluting it in the first place?

But Trump is not the least bit interested in any of that. He has clearly demonstrated, both in his youth, when he ducked out on having to place his life on the line for this country during the Vietnam war, and now as president, by dishonoring this nation in the face of the enemy in Helsinki, that our flag means absolutely nothing to him. His only interest in the flag are the ways that it can be used to promote his own self-serving agenda, and that’s EXACTLY how he’s using it now. His gross and unvarnished cynicism is disgusting, and his complete disregard for the American people is a slap in the face of American democracy.

Thus, Donald Trump has proven himself to be a completely self-serving and disgusting human being, and the sooner we remove him from the world stage, the better off both our nation, and our flag, will be. So I’d like to say just one thing to Draft-Dodgin’ Donnie . . .
