BLACK CONSERVATIVES (REPRISED)

Beneath the Spin*Eric L. Wattree
EXCELLENCE IS THE KEY TO BLACK EQUALITY

BLACK CONSERVATIVES (REPRISED)

Black conservatives are not just ignorant, but they aren't even bright enough to understand the English language. The very word "Conservative" is defined as dedicated to "Conserving" the traditions of the past. In the case of Black people, that means conserving the tradition of racism, bigoty, and lynching Black people at will. What the hell do you think they mean when they say, "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN?" They mean take America back to the “good ole days” when they could lynch any Black person who pissed them off. If you doubt that, tell me when America “was great” the first time.  Give me a year.
.
Between the end of the Great Depression and the Civil Rights Movement the Democratic and Republican Party completely reversed their political philosophies. Due to the Democratic Party's support for the Civil Rights Movement, the conservative Dixiecrats in the Democratic Party switched to the Republican Party, and the liberals in the Republican Party became Democrats. So their relative political polarities completely changed. But let there be no doubt about it, conservatives have ALWAYS been this country's bigots, regardless to what party they were in.
.
But in spite of that clear and obvious fact, we continue to have bigot-huggers among us in the Black community. They euphemistically refer to themselves as “Black conservatives” but in reality they’re just a bunch of ignorant-ass, bigot-huggin' idiots. They’re the direct descendants of that little wimp in elementary school who used to stay after class everyday to spit-shine the blackboard for the most hated teacher in school. You remember him, the one who used to say, “Mr. Wilson is mean to you guys, but he likes me.” You remember that wimp. Every school had one. They’re completely motivated by self-service, and therefore, an irresistible need to suck up.
.
So bigot huggers are nothing new in American society. Bigot-huggin' is a mental disorder that's been around for over 400 years. It stems from a lack of self-esteem, the casual acceptance of inherent inferiority, and a need to cuddle-up next to what is perceived to be power. Instead of fighting for equality and respect, such people find it easier to simply cave in and grovel for acceptance and an occasional pat on the head – reference Ben Carson and Clarence Thomas.
.
We were all raised to be conservative as children, because before we developed the experience and capacity to think efficiently we needed the direction of more experienced adults for guidance. So a "good child" was an obedient child. But as we grew older and developed the intellectual capacity to think for ourselves, most of us moved on to become independent thinkers, or what's commonly referred to as "progressive".
.
But a minority of us never develop the capacity to become independent thinkers.  As a result of religious training, culture, or possibly something as simple as retarded intellectual development, such people never managed to become independent in their ability to think. That's why everything that comes out of their mouth sounds like they're reading it off a Fox News teleprompter. These people are overly reliant on preachers, politicians, or the consensus of "group-think" to formulate their thoughts for them and guide their lives. We call such people conservatives, and their need to have their thoughts pre-chewed for them by others is why conservatives are invariably either highly religious, or connected at the hip to their particular group - and with regard to Black conservatives, you'll invariably find them desperately trying to prove themselves worthy of White people and their groups, and willing to do anything to fit in.
.
So, ANY Black person who aligns him or herself with conservatism is a weak-minded idiot by definition. A true conservative doesn’t even like poor White people, so you know damn well they don’t give a damn about your ignorant ass. So if you’re a Black conservative, you’re actually much more than just that – you’re also a goddamn fool.

THE AMERICAN FASCIST (REPRISED)

Beneath the Spin*Eric L. Wattree

EXCELLENCE IS THE KEY TO BLACK EQUALITY
.
THE TRUMP AFFECT
I NEVER THOUGHT I’D SEE THE DAY WHEN THE GOP WOULD ALLOW A DRAFT DODGER AND THE ALLEGED RAPIST OF A 13-YEAR-OLD KICK A DECORATED LIEUTENANT COLONEL OFF THE WHITE HOUSE GROUNDS FOR HONORING THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. DID YOU? WELL, THAT'S AMERICA UNDER DONALD TRUMP.

THIS IS A NATIONAL EMERGRNCY.

.
THE AMERICAN FASCIST (REPRISED)

While White supremacist terrorism is exploding in America and all over the world, and there is relatively no terrorism on our Mexican border, Donald Trump doesn't see the increasing incidents of murder and mayhem by White nationalists as a serious problem, yet he declared a "National Emergency" on men, women and children on our Southern border. And while brushing off terrorist acts by White supremacists as just a small group of "people with a problem", he characterizes Hispanic immigrants looking for a better life as “an invasion” requiring a military response. That says it all about Donald Trump. But it goes far beyond that. This admitted nationalist and clueless aspiring dictator has actually threatened America with violence by his own supporters!!!
.
During an interview in Breitbart News Trump threatened, “It Would Be ‘Very Bad’ if my police [and] biker gang fans decided to get ‘tough’ on my opponents .” He went on to brag to Matthew Boyle of Breitbart, "I can tell you, I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump - I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough - until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad.”
.
Decoded - since Michael Cohen, Trump's former attorney and "fixer" for over a decade, testified to congress that Trump tends to speak in code - Trump's words seem to say, if you don't leave me alone and stop investigating me, I'm gonna tell my big brother and he'll bring his gang to beat you up.
.
It's horrifying when you consider that you're listening to the President of the United States. He doesn't even sound like a responsible adult, much less the leader of the free world. Trump sounds like a sniveling 8-year-old playing in a sandbox and angry because the other kids won’t play by his rules - and both mentally, and intellectually, that's exactly what he is. But the problem for humanity is, he’s a very dangerous 8-year-old, both to American democracy, and to humanity as a whole. So the entire world is holding its breath, because everyone can see that Trump is clearly unstable and fully unprepared for the awesome responsibility that's been laid at his feet. The pressure could cause him to crack at any given moment before our eyes.
.
THE MOMENT DONALD TRUMP MADE THE PRESIDENTIAL MEDAL OF FREEDOM COMPLETELY WORTHLESS
.
RUSH LIMBAUGH: A GOLFING BUDDY AND FELLOW DRAFT DODGER
AND BIGOT
.
America under Donald Trump is like having the pilot of a 747 leave his 8-year-old son in the cockpit while he goes to pee. While the plane may be on autopilot, anything could happen. In addition, Trump is under the gun in multiple areas, he's severely lacking in the maturity and intellect to handle the pressure, and he'd do anything to keep the world from knowing that. He's such a malignant narcissist that he's desperate to maintain the image he's cultivated over the years, and at any cost. So he'd rather kill us all than to have to face his shortcomings. Thus, what we have in the Oval Office is a clueless and cowardly actor who's fully unqualified to fulfill his role.
.
And beyond that (if that's not bad enough), there's ample evidence that Trump's instability is affecting the nation as a whole. Admittedly, I’ve never been in love with the GOP, but I never thought I’d see the day when Republicans would support a cowardly draft dodger who slanders a dead American hero, sucks up to a Russian dictator, and refuses to honor our war dead due to rain. So he's making complete idiocy the norm among a sizeable segment of both the self-serving, and undereducated parts of our population.
.

Trump said that he loves the poorly educated. Of course he does, because they're just like him. They lack historic perspective and live by emotion rather than common sense, so they're easily manipulated and easy to convince that his narcissistic view of reality is what America is all about.  He's convinced them that he is America, so to oppose Trump is to oppose America as a whole. He's building a personality cult. That's why he doesn't hesitate to demand personal loyalty among those around him, instead of loyalty to our national institutions.
.
Many evangelicals even claim that God sent Donald Trump among us. Maybe he did, but they must

REMEMBER THE STORY OF HEROD?
remember that God works in mysterious ways, so maybe he sent Trump among us to bring down the evangelicals and GOP as grossly disingenuous self-servers, because that's exactly what their unwavering support of Trump clearly demonstrates - that they're willing to follow anyone, no matter how evil and incompetent, who will cater to their bigotry, hypocrisy, and greed.
.
As a former Marine I can say, without a doubt, that Trump is pathologically delusional. While he's calling the United States military his military, he's too blind to see that he's in way over his head. Since he dodged military service himself, he doesn't have any understanding of the mindset of the people who are dedicated to protecting our institutions and keeping America, America.  As a draft dodger, suspected traitor, and a rich little spoiled brat with autocratic tendencies, he's the epitome of everything our military and intelligence community despise - a rich snob with a delusional sense of entitlement. And worse, he's calling the very people who have been protecting our liberty for generations "the enemy of the people" because they refuse to pledge their loyalty to him instead of the nation. So he's not only seen as a wimp, but a threat to the very democracy that these men and women have dedicated their lives to defending.
.
That's why Trump has been bumping heads with the FBI and other intelligence agencies; that's also why they're being forced through necessity to limit the information that he's being provided. Think about that for a minute - the President of the United States can't be trusted with our most sensitive information. It's an unbelievable situation, and that fact has not been lost on our intelligence professionals.
.
But Trump is far too self-absorbed to realize that these are not the kind of self-serving political minions who will pledge their loyalty to a lunatic; they're selfless and clear-thinking career professionals who have dedicated their lives to protecting America. They've already pledged their loyalty, and not to a fly-by-night tinhorn dictator wannabe, but to our democracy and the American people, but that fact is blowing right past Trump. He lacks the common sense and insight to realize that everyone doesn't think like him. Everybody is not up for sale, for either money, or power, and they're well aware of both his mental instability, and lack of intellectual comprehension.
.

So the fact is, Trump didn't have to go limping into the draft board lying about having a bone spur. The Marine Corps uses boot camp to rid themselves of people like Trump routinely, because they know that such people are all mouth and bluster with very little backbone - as he proved conclusively when this nation called upon him to serve. The Marine Corps looks for character, and if you don't have it and they can't instill it in you, they get rid of you. They call it, "drumming you out of the corps." That's what makes the marines such an effective fighting force. They have experience with characters like Trump, and they know that such people can't be depended upon when the chips are down, because they're invariably cowards. That's why the military told him to "shove it" when he tried to demand a military parade.
.
But Trump's pathological narcissism is blinding him to the fact that he's a weasel trying to command a pride of lions. Our military doesn't see him as a Commander in Chief, that was President Eisenhower; they see him as a draft-dodging idiot that they're being force to tolerate.
.
And another thing Trump fails to realize is, these people don't play. They're the consummate professionals who take our national security dead seriously. On the other hand, Trump is so self-serving and clueless that he ignores condition reports in order to watch Fox news coverage of himself for hours on end, give away state secrets to Russians visiting the Oval Office, and pass out security clearances to family and friends like poker chips to be used as business assets, and now we've even gotten down to his doing business with owners of massage parlors. If the current reality under Trump had been submitted as a possible James Bond script it would have been rejected as far too unbelievable. That's why I jump out of bed every morning and turn on my computer to see if Trump is still around, because I'm convinced that our career professionals are only going to wait so long to defend America.

.
Trump is placing our national security on the line, and that makes him the enemy of the people. But he's too busy playing self-serving games to recognize that fact. He's like a geriatric child playing with toy soldiers, but these soldiers are real, and again, they're deadly serious. The American people are kept in an innocent bubble, but in order to keep them safe, on a practical level, our government has to have contingency plans to deal with such matters. They simply cannot allow one greedy, self-serving, and narcissistic lunatic to bring this nation down. Yet Trump continues to strut around, shooting off his mouth and is completely oblivious to the position he's placing himself in. He doesn't realize it, but all of his shady business deals with the Russins and others are about to be put on public display. He may be able to hide that information from the public, but our professionals already have it. They're just waiting to see if Trump is going to become a victim of his own stupidity before they're forced to disrupt America's innocence. The mere fact that Trump doesn't realize that demonstrates how clueless he is - and no, these people are not "Deep State", they're loyal Americans who are simply not about to just sit around and allow Trump to waltz in and deliver the United States over to Putin.
.

You won't read what I'm saying here in the Washington Post or the New York Times, because it's far beyond what's considered politically correct, but what I'm engaging in here is complete and unvarnished truth. Do you think our intelligence community is just going to sit back and allow Trump to turn the United States over to Putin, China, or the highest bidder? I don't think so - and trying to get them to turn over all the intelligence they have on Trump to William Barr is like spitting in the wind.
.
If Trump has demonstrated anything during the short time he's been in office,
it's that he places self before country, and that he lacks limits. Those two facts alone have placed the powers that be in this country on full alert. They're not about to let Trump's greed, stupidity, and aspiration to be an international oligarch bring this nation down, regardless of what they have to do to stop it - and believe me, they're watching. So mark my word, Trump and many of his cohorts are in for a rude awakening.
 .
MAJOR  GENERAL PAUL EATON, RET.
Retired Major General Paul Eaton penned what some have referred to as a "jaw-dropping" response to Trump's call for a military parade. The general said the following:
.
“Donald Trump has continually shown himself to have authoritarian tendencies, and this is just another example. For someone who just declared it was ‘treasonous’ to not applaud him, and for someone who has, in the past, admired the tactics of everyone from Saddam Hussein to Vladimir Putin, it is clear that a military parade isn’t about saluting the military — it’s about making a display of the military saluting him.
.
“The military is not Donald Trump’s to use and abuse in this way.” The retired major general went on to say that the military would not be “reduced to stagecraft to prop up Donald Trump’s image. Unfortunately, we do not have a commander in chief, right now, as much as we have a banana republic strong man.”

In a previous article, Donald Trump's Brand of Mental Illness, I responded to a commenter that made the following statement online:
.
“Is what we are seeing actually mental illness, or is it a result of being born into a family that requires nothing from the child? Trump was a millionaire at age 7. He was given everything, worked for nothing and learned how to con. I am struggling to see this as mental illness.”
.
In response, I pointed out the following:
.
Being rich can contribute to mental illness just as easily as poverty. The very conditions you described can lead to a bratty and dysfunctional personality so pronounced that it led to Trump never having a real friend or anyone who really cared about him in his life. The loneliness and desperation to prove himself worthy resulting from that can lead to his becoming the narcissistic sociopath that he is.
.
All through life Trump's had to convince himself that people hate him because he’s so brilliantly special that the average person is incapable of understanding him. He HAD to indulge in this delusion just to maintain his self-esteem. That’s why he’s always bragging, lying, and promoting himself – “I was the top student in my class at Wharton”; and “I had the largest inaugural in American history.” Both lies were easily debunked. With respect to being at the top of his class at Wharton, a simple glance at the Honor Roll showed that his name was nowhere to be found, and his claim of having the biggest inaugural crowd ever was debunked by aerial photos that clearly showed that the crowd at his inaugural was a mere fraction of that at Barack Obama’s inauguration. There was such a contrast between the two that the White House tried to pass off doctored photos of the two events to avoid embarrassment.
.

                            TRUMP                                                                     OBAMA

But for Donald Trump, the only thing important in life is trying to get the world to embrace his delusion of grandeur, even if he has to bring down America, and the entire world, to do it - and that's exactly what we're seeing play out in his administration. That’s what makes Trump so dangerous.  He wouldn’t hesitate to start WWIII just to save face and to prevent the world from seeing the failure and absolute fraud that he is, and that he's always been. So how do you know when Trump is lying to save face - his eyes are open.
.
Trump will use any tact available to promote his interests. He repeatedly threatens the nation.  While testifying before congress, Trump’s former fixer for over 10 years, Michael Cohen, told the panel two things about Donald Trump that particularly stuck out – first, that Trump speaks in code, and secondly, which was really chilling, that Trump wouldn’t leave office peacefully. When we consider those comments, along with Trump’s remark about his biker friends, and then an earlier comment that Trump made to Reuters when asked about the possibility of impeachment, that “I’m not concerned, no. I think that the people would revolt if that happened,” we have to ask ourselves, was that coded speech to his renegade supporters, or was it simply the deranged rantings of a man steeped in delusion? Either way, it's not good news for America.

.
What was Trump's purpose for tweeting the attached link, for example? Was he trying to threaten America, or is he trying to organize an army of supporters in preparation for losing the next election? Because Trump is desperate. He knows that if he loses the 2020 election he's going to prison and his entire criminal fiefdom is going to collapse. Being President is the only thing keeping him out as we speak. Michael Cohen, his "fixer", is already doing time for crimes they committed in concert.
.
But regardless of what Trump's motivation for posting this tweet, it's very childish. Can you even imagine Barack Obama posting something this immature in the public media? Thus, we clearly have a geriatric 8-year-old in the White House, and that's not only dangerous to America, but it's dangerous to all of humanity.
.

https://twitter.com/i/status/1227040292060180481

.
There's always the possibility that President Richard Nixon's White House counselor, John Dean, was right when he tweeted the following:
.
“Trump and his minions think they dodged a bullet. I have a notion — only a recurring though — that Mueller delivered a bomb to AG Barr, who is now trying to figure out how to tell Trump in a way that doesn’t cause him to start World War III.  Barr knows he works for a psycho.”
.

And America shouldn’t take this talk of Donald Trump's instability lightly. This is the man who’s walking around with the nuclear football, yet he's so immature that his greatest joys in life is watching television news coverage of himself, playing golf, and getting into childish spitball fights on Twitter – and don’t forget, this is a guy with extremely thin skin, and the sky is falling in on him as a result of multiple investigations. And worst of all, again, and this cannot be overemphasized, this is the man walking around with the nuclear codes, and who told Kim Jong-Un, "My button is bigger than yours."
.
And Trump's demand for a military parade for himself clearly shows that he's not interested in what he can do to improve America or the world at all; it's all about Donald Trump. Through his narcissistic eyes all America represents to him is a powerful extension of his own ego. So we're in a precariously dangerous situation. Absolutely everything that Trump has done since he's been in office has been designed to make himself look good to his mindless supporters, and this can't continue.  Donald Trump is about to implode, so it is absolutely imperative that we take the necessary steps to ensure that he can't take America, and the world, down with him.  This man doesn't belong in the White House, he belongs in a state hospital - and if we continue to just sit on our hands and do nothing, maybe we belong there with him.

AND WE’VE BEEN WARNED

“John Gartner, Ph.D. is the founder of ‘Duty to Warn’ an organization intent on warning our country that we are in dire trouble due to our president’s mental instability. More than 60,000 mental health professionals have signed John’s petition, which states:
.
‘We, the undersigned mental health professionals, believe in our professional judgment that Donald Trump manifests a serious mental illness that renders him psychologically incapable of competently discharging the duties of President of the United States. And we respectfully request he be removed from office, according to article 4 of the 25th amendment to the Constitution, which states that the president will be replaced if he is ‘unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office.’”

SO TRUMP SUPPORTERS NEED TO STOP AND ASK THEMSELVES, ARE THEY REALLY PATRIOTS WHO LOVE THIS COUNTRY, OR ARE THEY SO ANGRY, GREEDY, AND VINDICTIVE TOWARD OTHER AMERICANS THAT THEY'RE WILLING TO SACRIFICE THIS COUNTRY, THEIR CHILDREN’S FUTURE, AND POSSIBLY, THE WORLD?

CONSERVATISM HAS PROVEN ITSELF TO NOT BE A PHILOSOPHY BUT A PATHOLOGY

Beneath the Spin*Eric L. Wattree

EXCELLENCE IS THE KEY TO BLACK EQUALITY

CONSERVATISM HAS PROVEN ITSELF TO NOT BE A PHILOSOPHY,
BUT A PATHOLOGY

The primary reason that so many conservatives are in love with Donald Trump is because he’s a perfect reflection of themselves, right down to the last flaw. While he doesn’t share any of their alleged “values” (Trump doesn't have any), but he does share their pathology, and they love him for it, because as President, he validates their belief that their flaws aren’t really that bad. But simply believing such a fantasy is a flaw in itself – it’s delusional.
.
Conservatism’s not a political philosophy, it’s a mental dysfunction that causes a person to desperately cling to past traditions and concepts that’s familiar to them at all cost. That’s how the so-called political philosophy got its name. Conservatives are dedicated to “conserving” all things that are familiar, and they consider anything unfamiliar as a threat. The primary reason for that is, more often than not, conservatives are not the most intellectual among us, and they're so untrustworthy themselves, that they assume everyone else shares that trait, so they consider anything requiring thinking outside of the box a possible ploy, and not to be trusted. That's why so many conservatives reject the the concept of climate change. They consider the concept an elitist conspiracy, and they consider anyone who went past high school, or who's arrogant enough to try to think, an elitist.
.
So, unlike progressives, who are analytical, fascinated by new possibilities, and eagerly embrace “progress”, conservatives are more inclined not to trust anything new. They’re more comfortable with the status quo. They rely on the minds of the past to guide them. That way, they’re not required to think.
.
That accounts for how so many of them can claim to be Christians while at
the same time lacking in any and all moral values. They don’t care anything about morality – if they did, they wouldn’t have slaughtered over 200 million Native Americans to steal their land, or enslaved over 12.5 million Africans to steal their labor, or engaged in 400 years of the most virulent forms of bigotry. They guided by The Doctrine of Discovery, which makes it morally acceptable to exploit anyone unlike themselves.
.
But they can't see that, because they’re blind to any facts that don’t serve their interests. So they tend to be autocrats by their very nature – they have to be to maintain the status quo and desperately avoid all manner of thought. Thus, it's not enough for them to control their own thoughts and behavior, they're not comfortable unless they can also control your thoughts and behavior as well. That's where their religion comes in - their claims of piety allows them to also claim that they’re controlling behavior is blessed and ordained by God. In other words, it's not so much that they choose to tell you how to live your life, but God chose them for the job.
.
RUSH: ANOTHER DRAFT DODGER
We've just witnessed a perfect example of their "nothing-else-needs-to-be-said" hypocrisy, in that regard. While the Republican Party claims to be the ultimate patriots who love God and country with a unique dedication more passionate than any other group in the world, in spite of the fact that they swore before God, country, and on the very graves of this nation's founding fathers that they’d be completely nonpartisan in their judgment during Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, after it was proven, without a doubt, that their hero used the founding document of this land for toilet paper, they simply said “We don’t want to hear any more”, and began to chant, “FOUR MORE YEARS!”. That proves irrefutably that the GOP's true convictions entail embracing whatever happens to be convenient for them at the moment, and that they’re completely willing to ignore God, country, or any oath administered to accommodate their own needs. Such people are dangerous, and much too reckless, self-serving, and immoral to be trusted with the reins of power.
.
REPUBLICAN SENATOR MITT ROMNEY

.
When viewed from an objective perspective, it becomes clear why conservatives love Donald Trump so passionately - they love him because they’re just like him - they're ignorant, deceitful, self-serving, narcissistic, and corrupt. And that doesn't constitute a political philosophy, that’s an American disability. So the bottom line is, if America intends to survive as a nation, rabid conservatism is a disease that urgently needs to be addressed, treated, and eradicated.

PLACING KOBE BRYANT’S DEATH IN PERSPECTIVE

Beneath the Spin*Eric L. Wattree

EXCELLENCE IS THE KEY TO BLACK EQUALITY
.
PLACING KOBE BRYANT’S DEATH IN PERSPECTIVE

I placed a simple comment on Facebook, and I couldn’t believe how some people freaked out. But it struck me as a teaching moment. The response I received not only demonstrated how we’re having our minds stolen from us, but how effective that effort has been. So I think it’s worth discussing, at least briefly.
.
I posted the following:

.
“I was greatly saddened over Kobe's untimely death, and even more saddened by the death of his daughter, Gianna. But I'm about Kobe'ed out at this point. Millions of people have died since Kobe, so shouldn’t we be just as mournful over them? I’m a father and a grandfather more than I am anything else, so every time I hear about this tragedy it depresses me greatly – not so much about Kobe, but about his baby girl. So let’s move on – PLEASE!!!”
.
In response, most people simply took it like I meant it – while I'm sorry about what happened to Kobe, we shouldn't treat it like the fall of Rome. But in a few cases, I got the kind of hostility that made it seem like I told them they shouldn’t mourn their mother, and all simply because I stated an opinion. One person told me to mind my own business, and another suggested that I should get off the social media.
.

Well, I’m not getting off of social media. I expressed an opinion, and that's what people do on social media. In fact, that’s what gives social media it’s value, the many varied opinions shared on multiple subjects. Such comments are designed to stimulate the mind, and encourages people to think. So no opinion should be taboo, regardless of its content.
.
Making any subject taboo is anti-intellectual, and anti-intellectualism is the establishment’s most potent tool for keeping us brainwashed. They use it to herd us like cattle. It’s called “group-think.” Anti-intellectualism is what makes it possible for people like Donald Trump to exist. If you'll notice, the dumber a person is, the more likely he is to be a Trump supporter. The reason for that is they've been trained to be guided by their emotions instead of their brain.

.
In that regard, with Black people being shot and killed by police through their windows while watching television, and others dying on the street of hunger and freezing to death in the elements, and then on top of that, having a lunatic in the White House putting children in cages and trying to turn the entire damn country into a prison camp, going into deep mourning over the death of a rich man who bounced a ball for a living is a major “wakeup-and-get-a-life" moment.
.
Most people can't even recite the names of the other people who died in the crash, yet their lives were just as precious as Kobe's. Thus, they're not mourning a person, they're mourning fame. So it's important for us to remember that while we might feel sorrow over Kobe's death, he wasn't Jesus. So while we should mourn the death of a family member, a situation like Kobe's rate a "I'm sorry to hear that", and move on. We might want to set a day or two aside to recall who he was, but going on and on about it is ridiculous. Yes, I mourned - I'm still in sorrow - but I'm in mourning for Gianna and her mother much more than I am for Kobe. I'm mourning over the pain it brought into their lives, not because I considered Kobe to be like Jesus. I mourn over anyone's death, not just Kobe's.
.
But many of us tend to take the death of a celebrity to a ridiculous extent, and that clearly shows how much control the White man has over our minds. In spite of everything that’s happened to us since his death, some people are still mourning over Prince, and never even met the guy. I mean, give me a break! That’s not mourning, that’s called a distraction. The establishment can cut our throats, and then take our minds off  what they've done in the here-and-now by simply saying, “But wasn’t that horrible about Prince?”, and we’ll forget all about the fact that they just took school lunches from our children, stole our Medicare, and threw the elderly out on the street. We'll allow them take us to an entirely different zone and forget all about the fact that they just cut our throats.
.
They’ve been playing us like that for years, so we've got to learn to remain focused and prioritize what's really important in life. I just read a comment by a conservative Trump supporter that said Martin Luther King would be against the Democrats – and it was a Black bigot hugger who said it. So in spite of all of the years since Martin's death, they're STILL trying to use the death of a Black icon to cloud our minds. It's called misdirection, or changing the subject. They do it routinely. That's why every time Trump is caught with his hand in the cookie jar, instead of trying to denying it, they say, "Yeah, but what about Obama?", and then come up with a lie you have to argue with them over, effectively changing the subject.

.
Regarding Kobe, one commenter, said, "I am not about to stop praising Black excellence." And that gets to the crux of the matter. It points out another way that they use distraction to redirect our minds. We’re being indoctrinated into accepting their view of what constitutes Black excellence. There’s no doubt about the fact that Kobe was excellent at what he did, but what Black people need to consider is, was what Kobe did intrinsically excellent in itself? The man bounced a ball for a living. What intrinsic value does that have for the Black community, or humanity as a whole? Let me answer that - solutely none. In fact, if basketball had never been invented humanity wouldn’t have even missed a beat.
.
So the bottom line is, through no fault of his own, Kobe was engaged in the kind of distractions that actually hurt the Black community, because they used him to keep us focused on the frivolous rather than the serious matters in life. Black people need to be focused on the things that can move us forward as a people - things like math, science, and engineering - not on how well we can bounce a damn ball.
.
Life is not a game. Playing games is for children. While the White man is grooming his kids to own the racetrack, he's dangling a carrot before ours to become the damn horse – and if you want to see how they treat horses, just look at Colin Kaepernick.

.
So I’m not saying that we shouldn’t feel bad about what happened to Kobe, but we should be careful about who we enshrine as our cultural heroes. While Kobe was undoubtedly skilled at what he did, so is a mechanic, but the White establishment can use Kobe's skills to manipulate us as a people – and they do. Kobe was famous because the White man made him famous. Kobe was good, but he wasn’t special. The Black community is filled with young people with his kind of talent in many areas, but we don't freak-out if something happens to one of them. So the only thing that makes Kobe different is he was just lucky enough to be chosen by the White man for their purpose.
.
The White man controls the sports leagues, the media, and the publicity machines. And he uses that machine to keep brilliant Black minds seeking wealth and fame instead of pursuing their true excellence, the excellence that's locked within their minds. That serves the White establishment’s purpose, because without true Black excellence, and the development of our intellectual creativity, all the Kobe Bryants in the world can’t move the Black community forward.
.
Kobe stands as a symbol of wealth and fame for other young Black people to aspire to if they choose to shun knowledge for celebrity. But that serves the White man's purposes, not ours. The White man selects a handful of Black people and make them superstars in order to hold millions of Black people down. So while we can, and we should, admire what Kobe accomplished, we shouldn’t worship him for a minute. We should worship knowledge. Because the White man didn't enslave us because he could beat us up - he was able to enslave us because he had a knowledge of gunpowder that we didn't possess, and he had his mind on conquest while we were thinking of other things. We can't allow that to continue to happen. It's essential that Black people learn to remain focused.
.

And I’m not just blowing smoke. I believe in what I’m saying. My son, Eric Jr., is in his university's Basketball Hall of Fame, and he had several friends
that went into the NBA. When he went into high school he walked through the door as their starting center. In fact, they didn't even wait for him to get to high school. When he graduated from middle school they started working with him during the Summer. But when he graduated from college, I noticed he had already started living the celebrity lifestyle – clubbing every night, and running around in expensive cars, and hanging out with beautiful, high-living women. I didn’t like that, because I felt that it was a frivolous lifestyle, and I was losing the down-to-Earth son that I’d put so much effort into raising. So I encouraged him to pass up trying to go into the NBA and develop his mind and character and pursue a life of substance instead, and that's exactly what he did. I didn't put all of my efforts into raising a human being to make bouncing a ball the high point of his life. I felt that he had more to offer to the world, and I was right. He ended up going all over the world with the President of the United States.
.
He's gone on to become quite successful and greatly admired by everyone who knows him.  Currently my grandson, Eric III, is a starting player at Oklahoma City University, and I was curious to know if my son regretted the advice that I'd given him to give up playing ball himself. So we recently discussed the subject, and he said he didn't regret it for a minute. In fact, he said, he was glad I intervened, because if I hadn't, his two sons wouldn't be here. And I know exactly where he was coming from. I wanted to be John Coltrane and go all over the world playing my saxophone, but when Eric Jr and his sister, Kai, were born, I had to make a decision, and I don't regret it for a minute either. THEY became my fame and fortune, and no amount of celebrity could replace them for a second. That's exactly why I'm sitting here writin' instead of giggin', and I'm thrilled about it.
.
ERIC III
Life is about much more than trying to be a celebrity and chasing a dollar. Life is about happiness, personal development, and enjoying your family. Eric ended up producing two sons who are following in his footsteps. Eric III, who is headed for Wall Street, and Eli, a hell of a writer, and currently in military intelligence. THEY are my claim to fame, and they can take my bows for me, because whatever they accomplish, is my accomplishment. They allow me to face any man in the world eyeball-to eyeball, regardless of his wealth and power, and challenge his greatness. I can walk into the White House and challenge Donald Trump to compare his kids to what I've produced. That gives me stature, and it says it all.
.
So ballin' is fun on the playground as a child, and it can be helpful in getting a young person through college, but I've taught my kids that it's only a means to an end, and not an end in itself. Our people have gone through far too much to spend our lives playing games - no matter how much they pay us. Where would we be if Martin and Malcolm had decided to dedicate their lives to bouncin' a ball, or Rosa Parks had decided to shake her ass for a living? We wouldn't be very well off, I assure you.
.
Excellence breeds respect, and the Black community has ample evidence of the value of excellence,

knowledge, and character currently walking among us. Who commands more respect, Barack Obama, or Donald Trump with all of his wealth? Obama is, without a doubt. As a direct result of Barack’s excellence, he’s brought honor to our entire culture.
.
Prior to Barack Obama coming along, in spite of all our athletic ability and "soul", there was a raging debate going on in this country about whether or not Black people were inherently inferior. It was being alleged by many that Affirmative Action was the only thing that allowed Black people to compete with their White counterparts. But since Barack Obama, you rarely, if ever, hear anyone trying to make that claim today – in fact, Trump spends his every waking hour trying to prove he’s even close to being as competent as Barack Obama, and as a lifelong bigot, it's driving him crazy. But Donald will just have to be content with going crazy, because he'll never be able to compete with Obama. Barack learned as a child that what we so dismissively call "soul" is actually intellectual brilliance straining to be unleashed, and he developed that brilliance into becoming one of the greatest presidents this country has ever known. He's the Charlie Parker of American politics.

.
So it’s important for Black people to remember that God made birds to fly, fish to swim, and man to think. So we should always honor knowledge, character, and intellect over all other things. But the White establishment would have our Black youth believe that their highest aspiration in life should be the opportunity to run up and down some basketball court or football field with a ball. That “keeps us in our place”. But if you stop and give it just one moment’s thought, it becomes clear that any dog can outrun us. So what’s the point?
.
So, again, I'm very sorry that Kobe met with the untimely tragedy that befell him, but we’ve got to keep life in perspective. People die every day, but there are a lot more important things in life to focused on other than bringing life to a standstill over a man with the ability to bounce a ball – and taking the time to develop our intellect, and devising a strategy for surviving our current condition should be at the very top of that list. We must focus on keeping our culture alive.
.
So wipe your eyes, say goodbye to Kobe, and let's focus on moving our people forward.
