Black Sheriff, David Clarke, Says That 'Black Lives Matter' Will Join Forces With Terrorists To Bring Down America

Black Sheriff, David Clarke, Says 'Black Lives Matter' Will Join Forces With Terrorists To Bring Down America
*
We Need to Nip This In The Bud By Demanding This Guy's Resignation - Or Recall
.
I was having a discussion with an online friend over this issue, and he had the following to say:
.
"We strongly disagree on this. Conservatives always demonize black people. Blacks are illegitimate in the eyes of Conservatives. Martin Luther King Jr was a Communist. President Obama is not an American citizen and therefore isn't [in] office illegally. Stop and Frisk was applied to all young black males because every black male was a threat. Black activists stuck with Martin Luther King Jr.and the Civil Rights Act passed in Congress. President Barack Obama was elected twice. Given the Republican Presidential it is likely that The President could be elected for a third term. Activists took down Stop and Frisk. There is a push to have police wear cameras because the public no longer trusts the police. Blacks are always under attack and have always fought back.
.
"Eric, no one knows this nitwit sheriff and his credentials are dust when compared to police organizations and elected officials working to end mass incarceration. The sheriff you fear so much may be a hero to wingnuts, but is dismissed by others. Herman Cain and Ben Carson carry the message that blacks should be feared. Both have no clout beyond the wingnuts. I have no idea why you focus on an impotent idiot. NEVER underestimate the strength of Black people. Always bet on Black."
.
In response, I have to say the following:
.
RM, I've never doubted the strength or intelligence of Black people - it's our focus that I'm concerned about. And while I love your optimism, we haven't been doing so well so far.  If we were, a group called "Black Lives Matter" wouldn't be necessary.
.
The Washington Times has reported Black, Milwaukee Sheriff, David Clarke, as saying,  “Before long, Black Lies [sic] Matter will join forces with ISIS to [bring] down our legal constituted republic. You heard it first here. . . . I have been right on every call I have made about these subversives. I will be right again." (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/oct/28/david-clarke-black-milwaukee-sheriff-black-lives-m/)
.
You didn't see this coming, RM. but I did. As I told you, we can't out-scream the establish, because they control the the media; we can't out fight the establishment, because they control the military and arms industry; so the only way that we can deal with the White elitists establishment is to out-think them - or at the very least, not allow them to out-think us, and Black Lives Matter - and the Black community as a whole - is allowing them to do just that.
.
But I see why I can't through to you.  There are many concepts that you don't seem to get, or at least, accept. A Black Sheriff has credibility among many Americans, and especially conservative wingnuts, because he's saying exactly what they want to hear. So we can't afford the luxury of just writing this man off as another clueless Black man with a big mouth.  This guy has credible credentials.  Research him. This could very well be the beginning of a right-wing establishment attempt to demonize Black people as terrorist sympathizers in order to mount a campaign against all of us. That's exactly what they did to Muslims and the people of Iraq before they went in and killed and/or imprisoned a million of them.  I predicted that this could happen in our earlier discussion when I asked the question, was it possible that BLM had been infiltrated by the Koch brothers. That's a classic "cointelpro" tactic from the sixties. That's how they brought down the civil rights movement.
.
Here's how it works.  First, the establish infiltrates a group with Judas goats who seem to be super-militant in pursuit of "the cause."  Then they use those Judas goats to convince the people within the group that the more level-headed people in the group are weak and ineffectual, so they should follow them. Thereafter, they start committing acts that will turn off the American people - like snatching microphones during events, and other stupid and seemingly thoughtless acts. That allows the establishment to demonize the group and paint their intentions in any way they like. And now they're extending the activities of the group to Black people in general by conflating the name of the group with the Black population as a whole  - after all, what Black person doesn't believe that Black lives matter?
.
That's a tactic that's been being used since the very beginning of this nation and before. We must never forget how they painted the Native Americans as "savages" and wiped them out for simply fighting for their rights. And now you're saying this sheriff is just a clueless Black man with a big mouth!!!?  You're being incredibly naive and dismissive of a history that's been repeated for centuries.
.
So with this final attempt to get through to you, I'm going to end this discussion, because I feel like I'm trying to teach calculus to a person who hasn't learned addition and subtraction. And I don't mean that in a disparaging way. I think you're a very intelligent person in many ways, but in this case, as I said before, you're betraying a propensity for being incredibly naive.  I can understand your wanting to defend BLM, but never defend stupidity, because their could be an underlying motive for it.
.
In my last article, "Wake Up, Black People - The Holocaust Wasn't A Myth," I pointed out the following:
.
"Many insightful Black people recognize the truth in what I'm saying, but our collective response to it is lackadaisical, indifferent, and completely inept. Just going after one bad cop after he's killed a Black child, and snatching microphones from like-minded people in order to grandstand on stage does absolutely nothing to correct the problem we face. What good has that done? Black people are still being slaughtered on the street, and their personal lives are still being made miserable in their homes, on their jobs, and in the courts. All we're doing with such behavior is showing the powers that be what pushovers we are. We've got to go after the system that spawned and protects that bad cop AS A WHOLE - and in order to do that we're going to have to organize our community, become serious and mature adults with an eye toward the future, and stop giving priority to Beyonce swinging her butt. But currently, we're allowing the social manipulators to keep us completely distracted while they're picking us off one at a time with complete impunity, and as they become more bold, they're going to eventually start coming after us as a group, and that day may be sooner than you think."
.
Now we have this Black Sheriff beginning to demonize Black people, and not just suggesting, but INSISTING that Black people are budding terrorists and a threat to America - and isn't it interesting that they found a Black sheriff?  It makes the claim seem a lot more credible, doesn't it?  It might even suggest to some that as a Black person himself, he might have some inside information. And isn't it a coincident that he's a rabid, Allen West-like conservative, one of those Black bligots (sic) that the conservatives love to trot out to say the things that they can't say themselves without revealing their bigotry? And do you think it's a coincident that this idiot's charge is being blared with banners all across conservative media?  They're trying to see if the charge can get some traction. If it does, Black people are in trouble, and our lives truly WON'T matter then. So we need to come down on this guy, with both feet.
.
This is what it means to allow ourselves to be out-thought by the establishment.  We're just sitting on our hands while they've trotted out a BLACK man starting to propagate the position that Black people are a terrorist threat to America.  How long do you think it's going to be before they start rounding us up, en masse?  They're laying the foundation for it as we speak.  Just think about the seriousness of that allegation. They're charging that Black people are going to become a part of ISIS!!! That's the most feared and hated terrorist group in the world. The mere suspicion of that will allow them to suspend the Constitution, round us up, and imprison us without any kind of due process or trial - ask any of the innocent people in Guantanamo.
.
Again, please don't think it can't happen here, because every since the Bush/Cheney administration the United States has been becoming an increasingly more fascist state, and now that the demographics are against the GOP, they're becoming ever more reckless, dangerous, and oblivious to democracy.  The fact that they've already corrupted the Supreme Court, given the heads of foreign corporations more influence over our political system than American citizens in "Citizens United," and they're trying to reverse the Voter's Rights Act should speak volumes, even to the very most politically naive.
.
The United States advocated executing people during the Nuremberg trials for doing far less than Bush and Cheney. And did you ever think you'd see the United States condone torture, or the Vice President the United States outing one of our own CIA agents, or 47 U.S. Senators singing a treasonous letter in an attempt to disrupt an American foreign policy initiative in order to promote the interest of a foreign power?  I don't think so.
.
So the United States is currently in a very dangerous downhill slide. Republican president, Ike Eisenhower, would have summarily executed people for committing any one of the offenses listed above, so if a fascist-leaning Republican is elected President in the 2016 election, rounding up Black people en masse wouldn't be nothing in the current political environment. Thus, every Black preacher, teacher, journalist, and community activist in America should be all over this, because as long as a Black man can get rich by claiming to take pride in being a gangster, and calling the very womb of our culture bitches and hoes, why shouldn't America believe we're capable of terrorism?
.
Wake up, Black people. It's time to take off our party hats and look at what's going on around us.

Evil-Doers Are Not Determined By Race - They're Determined By The Power and Opportunity To Do Evil

BENEATH THE SPIN • ERIC L. WATTREE

Evil-Doers Are Not Determined By Race - They're Determined By The Power and Opportunity To Do Evil

Reality_Check says:
.
"Dr. Wattree, I understand you mean well, but I respectfully disagree. History and current events simply do not support your assertions. The reason why is because the majority of white people are either racist themselves OR they know people who harm others through racism and they remain SILENT of such atrocities. This is the commission vs. omission principle. Most white people are guilty of racism by omission, meaning that they are aware of racism, when and how it is applied, and the victims of racism, but they do NOTHING to either speak or act against it. This is because white people are keenly aware that they benefit from white supremacy and racism, so they are not willing to sacrifice their privilege to act against racism. They know too well which side their bread is buttered on. This is why they do not oppose racism en masse. You cannot benefit from and simultaneously oppose racism. That is illogical.
.
"I don’t want to hear about what whites have done in the past because the truth is, despite this, the majority of them say and do nothing to act against the every day racism that they know to exist. What you are referencing is a very small faction of white people that protested and demonstrated side by side with blacks during the Civil Rights. Those whites certainly did not represent the average white person during that day. Don’t even get me started on the Vietnam War. Whites were protesting because they did not want to see THEIR sons killed in the war. Their protests had nothing to do with black people. That was a terrible example to underscore your point. The average white person’s silence where racism is concerned makes them just as complicit as the rabid racists who use their influence to oppress others. If this were not the case, then you wouldn’t see such discrimination in employment, housing, education, medical treatment, and the legal system where blacks are concerned. In order for racism to survive and THRIVE it takes more than just a few rabid racist to make it work. It absolutely requires the complicit approval of the MAJORITY of the white race to make it a success.
.
"Now, don’t let this suggest that I’m speaking in absolute terms by saying that ALL whites are racist. This isn’t what I’m saying. I am, however, saying that the majority of whites (meaning the average) practice racism either through action or inaction. If this weren’t the case then you wouldn’t see such disparities in the areas of life mentioned above and you’d see a lot more vocal opponents to the “system.”'
.
Wattree:
.
First, I want to point out right off the bat that I’m not a doctor. I haven’t earn that title so it would be a disservice to those who have put in the effort to allow that point to pass without comment.
.
But with respect to your "Commission vs. Omission Principle," it's invalid, so I have to respectfully disagree with your point of view. People are individuals, and ALL people should ALWAYS be assessed on their own individual merit. That’s one of the primary arguments used to invalidate White racism, so it would be inconsistent, hypocritical, and disingenuous not to adhere to it with respect to White people. One of the angriest complaints that comes out of the Black community is regarding the tendency by some to broad-brush and profile Black people as being all alike, so we shouldn't 'profile' others in that way.  If we fall into the trap of making that mistake it will eventually be used against us.  Let me give you example of that.
.
If we use  your argument that White inaction against racism is in itself a form of racism, logical consistency will demand that we also accept many of the arguments made by bigots against Black people.  Specifically, you said, “Most white people are guilty of racism by omission, meaning that they are aware of racism, when and how it is applied, and the victims of racism, but they do NOTHING to either speak or act against it.”
.
If we use that standard, we also tend to validate many White bigots' contention that ALL (or MOST) Black people are criminals by virtue of the fact that they KNOW about crime yet do nothing to act against it. So through extension that implies that White cops are correct in profiling ALL Black people. I'm sure that's not your position, but logical consistency demands that you take that position in order to embrace your "omission" theory.  So the fundamental problem with trying to indict ALL White people (or all of ANY group) as being the same is that the sword cuts in both directions. Any argument that we use alleging that White people are ALL alike, contradicts our insistence that all Black are NOT alike.
.
In addition, many White people don't speak out about racism (on the job, for example) for the very same reason that Black people are not calling the police and going out on the block pointing out who's dealing drugs, or who robbed the liquor store - they want to survive. self-preservation is their number one priority, and it trumps any civic-minded proclivities they may harbor. They see their first responsibility as protecting themselves and their family.  It's human nature not to rock the boat, so to read anything else into it is based on an unsubstantiable assumption.
.
There’s only two kinds of people in the world – good people, and bad people, period.  I've heard some make the argument that the White man has PROVEN his tendency toward brutality by his very history.  That argument SEEMS to work, until it’s closely examined.  Because if you look at the history of man as a whole, it'll become immediately clear that we all have a history of brutality.  The only thing that distinguishes one group from another is the power, resources, and opportunity to be brutal..  Even as we speak, Black people are in Nigeria killing one another with the kind of brutality, and in numbers, that we can’t even imagine over here:
.
"YAOUNDE, Cameroon (AP) — The Nigeria-based extremist group Boko Haram on Monday threatened neighboring countries Niger and Chad, warning the fighters were prepared to carry out suicide bombings in the countries sending troops to help fight the militants.
.
“The Islamic extremist group has fought a five-year insurgency against Nigeria’s government, leaving 10,000 people dead last year alone. The violence has forced some 157,000 people to seek refuge in Niger, while 40,000 others have gone to Cameroon and 17,000 are in Chad, the U.N. said. Almost 1 million Nigerians are internally displaced, according to the country’s own statistics.”
.
So again, people are people; some are good, and others are bad. What seems to separate us in terms of evil and brutality is not so much the color of our skin, but the power and opportunity to carry out acts of evil and brutality.
.
Finally, I've had this discussion many times before with Black people who want to insist that White people are somehow uniquely flawed. Then when I bring out the issues that I've mentioned above they want to know, "Why are you going to such lengths to defend those people?" But the fact is, I'm not trying to defend White people at all; I'm defending logical and efficient thinking, as I always do.
.
We must always give truth priority over ideology or what tends to make us feel warm and fuzzy inside, because fuzzy thinking is the primary weapon that's been used against Black people for the past 400 years. Thus, truth is the very best defense of both ourselves, and humanity as a whole. We must ALWAYS follow truth, regardless to where it leads, and who's ox it gores, because truth will tell us - and everyone concerned - that racism is no longer the war. At this point racism is merely a weapon of war. We are now in a class war, and the enemy doesn't care any more about poor and middle-class White people than he does Blacks. So if we are to survive, it's time for ALL like-minded people to come together and put all other issues aside, because DIVISION is the enemy's most potent weapon. That's primary reason that Rush Limbaugh and Fox News even exists.

Michael Jackson and America’s Superstardom

BENEATH THE SPIN • ERIC L. WATTREE

Michael Jackson and America's Superstardom

I greatly admired Michael Jackson. I admire anyone who's the very best at what they do, and Michael Jackson was definitely that. I remember when I first heard him. He was doing a tune called "Who's Lovin' You?" He was a mere child at the time, but his talent was so fully developed, and he sang with so much emotional maturity, I mistook the high pitch of his voice to be that of a very soulful adult female. Then later when he did "Billie Jean" at the Motown reunion, he seemed to literally defy gravity as he Moonwalked across the stage. So yes, this young man was, without a doubt, one of the greatest entertainers who ever lived.

But Michael's life - that shooting star that dazzled humanity with its awesome display, only to burn out much too soon - threatens to serve as a perfect metaphor for America itself. The story of the United States parallels that of Michael Jackson. It is also the story of a precocious child star that dazzled humanity with its awesome display. The United States is undoubtedly a superstar among nations, but we must not let hubris allow us to forget that among those very same nations, we are nothing more than a precocious child.

While the United States is 233 years old, that's relatively nothing when it comes to the history of nations. Iran, one of the oldest nations on Earth, is over 8000 years old. That means that when Jesus Christ walked the Earth, Iran was more than 6000 years older than the United States is today, even then. We need to keep that in mind as we formulate the language of our foreign policy, because believe me, it is a fact that has not been lost on the Iranian people.

It is America's failure to recognize and respect that fact that has caused so much animosity towards the United States among Muslims in the Middle East - and much of that animosity has also extended to many of our allies in the West. And it is in recognition of that fact that President Obama took the tact that he did in his Cairo speech.

While many in the GOP are trying to play politics with this issue, President Obama's Cairo speech reflected the ultimate in statesmanship and good common sense. He recognized that no one likes a cocky and disrespectful child, and that's exactly what the United States has become.

Bush was seen not only by Muslim countries, but countries all over the world as a bratty child who was using the clout of militarism to talk down to nations that dwarf the United States in terms of history and cultural tradition. Thus, it was absolutely necessary in order to establish constructive engagement in the Middle East for President Obama to first repent, and then ask the world to please forgive the stupidity of his arrogant sibling. He was right to assure the people of the Middle East that the United States recognize them as a great and ancient culture, whose religion has contributed tremendously to mankind.

Just through those few common-sense words President Obama began a healing process that immediately began to mend animosities held against the United States for over sixty years. Clear evidence of that was immediately apparent. Immediately after his Cairo speech the people of Lebanon voted to appoint Saad al-Hariri, Backed by the United States, as their new prime minister, and voted down the Iranian backed Hezbollah hardliners. And immediately after that, the Iranian people took to the street in opposition to hardliner Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

But just like the jihadists, GOP hardliners like Dick and Liz Cheney claim that President Obama's position is weak, and it makes America less safe. But the facts belie their contention, since the very people who are voting for a more reasoned stance towards the United States are the very same people that jihadists depend on to recruit their terrorists.

So why is the GOP taking such a hard stand against common sense?

Just like the jihadists in the Middle East the GOP require an enemy to maintain power. The jihadists in Iran came to power as a result of mass demonstrations just like we see in Iran today. But in that case, the demonstrations were against the United States for toppling Iran's democratically elected government and replacing it with Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran, a United States puppet. So since hatred of the United States is what brought them into power, the jihadists feel that it is incumbent upon them to maintain that hatred to remain in power.

The same is true of the GOP. The Republican party's agenda - protecting the interest of the corporatocy, like the insurance industry over the good health and well being of American families, for example - is so counterintuitive to what's in the best interest of the people that it is incumbent upon the GOP to always maintain an enemy - any enemy - in order to circumvent the common sense of the people and appeal to their emotions.

A perfect example of that is the way the GOP has convinced a large segment of the American people that acting in their own interest constitutes socialism - and of course, socialism leads to communism. Thus, according to their reasoning, anything that gives priority to our own families over corporatism is communist inspired. They've successfully used that reasoning to circumvent our common sense. Clear evidence of that is if we used our common sense we'd realize that social security and medicare, two of the most popular programs in America, are both based on socialist principles - so is congress' healthcare plan.

Everything is about dollars and cents to the GOP, including war. The only people in America who hasn't suffered from the war in Iraq is the GOP and their corporate cronies. In fact, while America suffers, they've benefitted from it greatly. While the children of the poor and middle class are dying, their children are cheering us on from the lobbies of exclusive country clubs; and while average Americans are losing their jobs and homes, GOP cronies are wallowing in the profits of war.

So what does this have to do with Michael Jackson?

Just like Michael Jackson, Americans have derived enormous benefits from our status as world superstars. But that's not always a good thing, because also like Michael Jackson, our status as superstars have caused us to overindulge ourselves. If Michael hadn't been such a superstar the world might have placed limits on him. In that case, the plastic surgeon who disfigured him might have refused to do the excessive surgery, which I'm convinced led to his decline. And if it turns out that he died as a result of drugs administered to help boost him for his comeback, he might still be alive today if he'd been simply, Michael the postal worker.

The very same dynamic is true of America. If we hadn't been such a superstar, the world may not have allowed us to invade Iraq. In that case, 4000 young Americans and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi men, women, and children would be alive today. In addition, if we had invaded, George Bush and Dick Cheney would be in chains today, facing charges of war crimes.

So while President Obama indicates that he wants to look forward, that is the luxury of a superstar. When one considers the result of looking forward after Richard Nixon's Watergate, and Ronald Reagan's Iran/Contra affair, it becomes clear that the salvation of America may lie in looking back, and holding ourselves accountable, just this once.
