WHY HILLARY CLINTON DOESN'T REPRESENT WOMEN WELL .
Can a woman become a great president? Anyone who can't answer the above question in the affirmative couldn't have been raised in the Black community. As ashamed as I am to have to admit it, it should be clear to anyone with eyeballs that the African American culture is matriarchal by it's very nature. That said, now I'm supposed to start explaining all of the conditions beyond the Black man's control that led to this state of affairs, but the fact is, I'm not predisposed to lying, so I refer you to Black Entertainment Television (BET) and you can be the judge. . Okay, had enough? . Now that you've viewed the misogynistic subculture that has all but seized the soul of the young Black male, it has to be clear that any woman who can manage to raise well rounded, productive, and stable children - by herself - in such an environment can do anything. . So, of course a woman can be a good, and even great, president, but I don't count Hillary Clinton among those women. Hillary, and many other so-called "feminists" of her generation suffer from seriously misguided views on what it truly means to be a strong and independent woman. They actually diminish the meaning of womanhood by embracing the position that the only way a woman can truly be strong and independent is by being more like a man, and Hillary has spent her entire life doing just that - trying to show America how much like a man she can be - and to the point where all vestiges of femininity are now nonexistent. . That doesn't promote the competence, intelligence, and insight of the female character; it suggests that women should abandon the "inferior" qualities that make them innately special, and take on the "superior" qualities of men. That's backward thinking. That's like a Black man thinking that the only way he can be equal to a White man is to become Archie Bunker. But Barack Obama has clearly shown that a Black man can be equal to a White man, and more, while remaining true to his nature; and Michelle Obama has demonstrated the very same point with respect to female competence. Let us not forget, Michelle used to be Barack's boss and mentor, but she has no problem with being highly feminine, and highly home oriented. Michelle doesn't feel the need to prove that she's as competent as a man, because she's comfortable in her womanhood, so she knows she is. . But Hillary is an ideologue, and all ideologues (regardless of stripe) are dangerous, because they tend to give ideology priority over truth, and intrinsic to every zealot's passion for justice lies the seeds of tyranny. So with a feminist ideologue like Hillary Clinton as president, I'd be afraid that she might send thousands of young Americans to a needless death just to prove that she can be "just as strong as a man" with respect to wreaking havoc and destruction all over the world. .
WOMEN TRYING TO BE MEN IS
ANTI-WOMAN
Hillary Clinton, and many other modern women, seem to have dedicated their entire lives to the proposition that the traditional role that women have played in society is something less than what a modern woman should aspire to. I firmly disagree with that position. While I think that a woman should be free to compete with a man in any and every area in this society, I also think the role of the traditional "housewife" has been severely undervalued in this society. What our society looks upon as a "mere housewife" is actually a mother, a psychologist, a nurse, a chef, an economist, an interior designer, and in many cases, a sex therapist for a philandering husband--and society has been going downhill every since these women were convinced that what they did wasn't worthwhile. . Remember Donna Reed? Women of Hillary's ilk tend to look down their nose at women like that, but consider this - there was no such thing as drive-bys on Donna's watch. She created a stable home environment that served to stabilize society as a whole. She did more for society from her family's house, than a Hillary clone could ever do as president from the White House. The problem with the Hillary kind of women is that they fail to recognize that fact. They see women like Donna as "quaint," and out of touch with the new feminist reality: . "One of the things that made me drop the feminist label was how cruel they were to women who said they weren't feminists, I had no problem with women who supported equality even if they didn't use the same label as me and I didn't understand WHY they [feminists] had to act like they [non-feminists] just said 'No, I hate my rights and I wish it was the 1900's again'. They just said they didn't labeled themselves as feminists, big f..king deal, it's like asking someone if they believe in God and then saying 'If you believe in God you MUST be a Catholic' when that person says they're an Orthodox Christian.
"They believe feminism is the truth and if someone is against it they're obviously wrong and deserve to be shunned until they convert, almost like religion. They're like the religious nuts that say that atheists have no morals or worship the devil, the only difference apart from politics and the like is that feminists are taken waaay more seriously than those guys. I used to laugh at the people who said it was a cult and now I think that yes, It's kinda cult-ish, If you say 'wrong stuff' they shun you and treat you like shit, they just lack a 'Feminist Overlord' or any kind of leader and initiation rituals." https://www.reddit.com/r/TiADiscussion/comments/3k1j4g/why_are_modern_feminists_outright_hostile_against/ . Many feminists completely fail to realize that women like Donna are directly responsible for who, and where they are today. So it's not Hillary that I dislike, or her chosen path in life; it's the condescending attitude of Hillary-type women towards homemakers - and I don't think I'm alone. Hillary hasn't personally done a thing to deserve the hostility that she engenders in many Americans. But while much of that hostility is directed at her, it's not about her, it's about what she represents - the degradation of America. . The American people don't have a problem with women seizing the opportunity to express their creativity and potential as human beings, but what they do resent is a handful of ambitious women attempting to further their personal goals by convincing a generation of housewives that they're being less than productive by not entering the workforce to take up arms against men. Prior to these women entering the workforce, one income was sufficient to comfortably support a family. Now, a woman must work, whether she wants to or not, just for most families to survive. The reason for that is, once women went to work and put more money into circulation, the business community simply doubled the cost of living. So what we're left with as a result of this mass exodus of housewives into the workforce is a rise in the of the cost of living, women being forced to juggle family and a full-time jobs, latchkey children, a hoard of incorrigible teenagers, a rise in workplace indiscretions, failed marriages, and skyrocketing crime - a net loss anyway you look at it. This is the culture that women like Hillary Clinton represents - the very mindset that's destroying America. .
But of course, now I'm going to be accused of wanting women to remain barefoot and pregnant, but that's not at all the case. Women should be free to go into whatever profession they choose, but if they choose homemaker as their chosen profession, they shouldn't be denigrated as "barefoot and pregnant," because as our current situation clearly demonstrates, they are actually the backbone of this society.
.
This country is falling apart because we allowed the "feminists" of the sixties to sell us a bill of goods. When these women chose to pursue professions and then ran into sexism in the workplace, instead of addressing the problem within the workplace itself, they decided to hitch their wagon to the civil rights movement in order to sop up some of the gravy that the eloquence of Martin Luther King had stirred. But in order for these White, middle and upper class women to make an effective case - many of whom, living comfortably, and supported by husbands - they had to convince all of the housewives across America that they, as a class, were just as victimized as Black civil rights activists, who were not allowed to vote, couldn't find jobs, and were being attacked by police dogs.
.
So while these women did have a just cause, they addressed that cause in a fraudulent manner for no other reason than to promote their own ambition - and in the process, convinced women across this land that raising a family and laying the foundation that everything else in our society is built upon was something less than a desirable pursuit. They also convinced many women that the only things that are of value in this world are those things that men do - in fact, focusing on being a lady, in itself, was a frivolous pursuit. The message was, the only way to compete with men was on a man's terms - a message that places women at a gross disadvantage.
.
I have a good friend who happens to be an Asian. She's so beautiful she doesn't look real - she looks like someone drew her. In addition, she's brilliant, and one of the sexiest women I've ever laid eyes on - and she knows it. Her only shortcoming is she's bought into the nonsense that it's against the rules to use her femininity to help her get ahead. She told me one day that her boss wouldn't allow her to move up any farther in management. When I asked why, she said, her boss always tries to flirt with her and she doesn't want to play that game. So I asked her, doesn't your boss use his deep voice and intimidating personality to get what he wants? And she told me that he did. I then asked, so why shouldn't you use your beauty and feminine wiles to get what you want? You don't have to give in to your boss, just make him think you might - right after the next promotion, then the next, and the next. You don't have to give up a thing. Just keep hope alive. There's nothing immoral about that. You're simply manipulating him with your feminine beauty in the same way that he manipulates you with his masculine ability to intimidate. That was a few years back. Today she's his boss.
.
So, absolutely a woman can become a great president--and quite possibly, one of the greatest presidents we've ever had. But I don't want one who thinks she has to act like a man to be successful. I want to vote for a female who's intelligent, charismatic, and well educated, yet, not afraid to stick her hands in dishwater. Yes, I want her to be professional and dignified, yet, also know the value of a short skirt and silk shiny stockings. I don't want any president who's going to try to be effective with one hand tied behind his or her back. A president should be prepared to bring every resource to bear. So if the president happens to be a woman, sure I want her to know how to be firm when she needs to be, but she should also know how to work it like it's hot.
.
If a man's strong suit is intimidation, the illusion of power, and brute force, a woman's is insight, subtlety, and finesse. Once a woman loses sight of that fact, she's tying one hand behind her back.
What is the Greater Evil, Public Breast-Feeding, or Human Persecution?
.
When Karlesha Thurman, 25, went to pickup her Accounting degree from Cal State Long Beach, she walked away with much more than a degree, she found herself embroiled in a vicious controversy. When Karlesha attended her graduation ceremony, she decided that she wanted to share the happy event with her three-month-old daughter, Aaliyah, and to commemorate the event for posterity, she had a photo of herself breast-feeding Aaliyah while wearing her cap and gown. Later, she published the photo on the internet, and all hell broke loose.
.
Personally, I really admired Karlesha’s foresight, because I too was an infant when my mother graduated from college, and I wish she would have had the foresight to do exactly what Karlesha did. Such a photo would have been of immeasurable value to both me, and my family, today. Because it would have not only shown me and my now deceased mother during a very tender moment, but it would have also provided me with an opportunity to show my grandchildren the kind of stuff that their great grandmother was made of. It would have demonstrated her dedication to the importance of education by continuing in school in spite of her pregnancy, and her cap and gown would have symbolized her triumph over adversity. So nothing could have been of more value. . But that’s not how many in our society view such matters. Instead of looking at those things that are important in life, they’re more interested in convention, conformity, and forcing their often twisted values down the throats of others, and that’s one of the most divisive and destructive problems that we have in America, and the world, today. It is that exact mind-set that is responsible for 99% of all human conflict. So I felt obliged and honor-bound to become engaged in this controversy, and try to use the backward thinking of those who would criticize this young mother as a teaching moment. . . There is absolutely nothing "inappropriate" about breast-feeding in public - in school, in church, or, in fact, anywhere else. That's what breasts were designed for. Women all over the world, and every form of mammal have been doing it since life on Earth began. So who are Karlesha’s critics to try to second-guess God and/or nature by trying to shove their perverted, bourgeois, social conventions down the throat of either this young lady, or the throat of God. . It wasn't this young mother who was being "inappropriate," it's the thinking of her critics that's inappropriate. The primary reason that they believe that exposing a woman's breasts in public is inappropriate, is because of the inappropriate and perverted way in which they’ve come to view a woman's breasts - as sex toys, instead of the extremely efficient and natural glands that they’re designed to be. So if they can't look at a woman's breast without thinking of sex and perversion, that's not this young mother’s problem, it’s their own. So her critics need to get over it and do something constructive - like putting more effort into learning to mind their own business. . But one of Karlesha’s critics, a woman by the name of Linda Jackson, said the following: . "Women’s breast are used as sex toys, because that is the way women portray them. Are we second guessing God when we go into the privacy of our homes to have sex? It’s God’s way of procreating, right? If breasts are looked at in a perverted way, it’s in no small way because of the way women want them to be viewed. I don’t know who’s the worst attention hog. This one or the idiot that decided to share her wedding ceremony with her newborn by dragging the poor thing down the isle on the train or her dress. If this genius just had to have her pic taken right then, I’m sure the little one would not have starved to death in the five seconds it took to snap the picture. But then, she wouldn’t have had a reason to pop out a tit, and get however many hits on you-tube it takes to become an internet sensation. There are plenty of natural body functions that are necessary to perform on a daily basis. But just because they’re natural doesn’t mean they need to be carried out in the public eye. Creating a life is one, and flopping out a tittie to feed one is another. Name some more. Come on. I know you can do it." . Linda, you said, "Women’s breasts are used as sex toys, because that is the way women portray them. Are we second guessing God when we go into the privacy of our homes to have sex? It’s God’s way of procreating, right? If breasts are looked at in a perverted way, it’s in no small way because of the way women want them to be viewed."
.
Those sound like the words of one of those ignorant, out-of-touch, conservative bigots. You just stereotyped ALL of the women in America – including yourself. Do you view your breasts as sex toys? If not, how can you sit there and indict every other woman in America? It sounds to me like you’re saying, while you have class and a sense of what is proper, every other woman in America is a exhibitionist slut, and lack your good, common sense. You must be quite a lady to make such a sweeping assumption.
.
In addition, with all of your good sense, can’t you see that you’re propagating the very same backward-thinking mind-set and philosophy as those sexist conservative bigots who maintain that women who wear sexy clothes are ASKING to be rapped!!!?
.
INQUISITION WHEEL
Take a minute to think, lady! You don’t corner the market on neither wisdom, intellect, nor morality. Breast-feeding a child in public doesn’t do nearly as much damage to society as people who try to shove their beliefs down the throats of others – in fact, public breast-feeding doesn’t do ANY damage to society. On the other hand, there are people with exactly the same mind-set as you, and are just as convinced as you are on this issue, who think that it’s immoral for Black people to even be born and breathe "their" air. And as we so tragically witnessed just recently, there are others who believe that it was so immoral for Travon Martin to wear a hoodie, that it warranted his brutal murdered.
.
So let there be no doubt about it, Linda. The young mother who loved, fed, and nurtured her child in public is not the problem; it is people with your closed-minded mind-set who are not only the problem in this country, but around the world. As we speak, President Obama has a military team in Nigeria trying to retrieve and return to their families 200 kidnaped girls who were kidnaped by people who think just like you. In their case, however, they felt that it was immoral for girls to go to school, so they went to their school, kidnaped them, and now threaten to sell them on the open
market.
.
So open your mind, Linda! Neither you, I, nor anyone else is qualified to be the arbiter of how other people should live their lives. In order for us to maintain an orderly and hate-free society, people like yourself are simply going to have to learn to mind your own damn business. As I see it, the standard should be, as long as a person is not doing anything to harm anyone else, they should be free to establish their own moral code and live their lives the way they see fit, and without it having to be approved by Linda – period.
.
Intrinsic to every zealot's passion for moral propriety lies the seeds of tyranny. So the solution to your moral outrage is quite simple, Linda – if you think it’s morally outrageous for a woman to display her breasts in public, then keep YOUR blouse buttoned up, and don’t take your tittie out.
.
Congratulations, Karlesha, on your daughter, your courage, and your degree. Aaliyah's going to be very proud of you someday, and I'd be very honored if you'd place this article with her keepsakes to let her know that many of us are proud of you today. You go, girl! .

The Religious Right: A Threat to America (Reprise)
.
When I became of age one of the first things I did was to reassess all of my previous beliefs and attitudes. Thereafter, I discarded as invalid anything that didn't stand up to logical and objective scrutiny, because even at that young age, I'd lived long enough to recognize that most of the problems in this world are a direct result of our failure to re-examine our illogical views of reality.
.
Most religious zealots not only fail to go through that process, but refuse to as a matter of religious doctrine. It is due to that kind of zealotry, along with their doctrinal obligation against even considering the fact that they just might be zealots, that makes the religious right a clear and present danger to both the United States, and the world.
.
Now, I don't have anything against religious people, per se - I was raised by Christians, and they were wonderful and loving people. In fact, I'm very spiritual myself. But if you show me a man who believes that Moses parted the Red Sea, I'll show you a man whose logical assessment of reality cannot be relied upon.
.
Such people fail to realize that efficient thought require that we must first see reality as it is, and only then, as we would have it. But these people have a tendency to try to force reality to conform to what they want it to be, then demonize, and in many cases condone the slaughter, of others who they even suspect might view the world differently. Thus, it is primarily their kind of thinking that introduced into the world the related horrors of xenophobia, homophobia, racism, etc.
.
And the GOP leadership is expert at dipping into this well. While most GOP leaders could personally care less about religion, the intolerance of religious zealotry is one of their most potent weapons. As we speak, they're mounting a combined campaign of racial intolerance against President Obama, religious intolerance against Muslims, and sexual intolerance toward gays. And to demonstrate just how virulent and un-Godly that campaign is, just tune in to FOX. The zealots are literally wallowing in their hatred like hogs in slop, even though it means possibly destroying this nation.
.
And the irony is, these zealots don't really care about religion, at least, as it relates to God. If they did, they wouldn't be so mean-spirited, selfish, and wedded to the instruments of death. They insist on following the Constitution to the letter when it comes to their right to bear arms, but they're more than anxious to trash that very same document if it means they can take away the right of innocent people to love as they see fit.
.
Another indicator of their mean-spirited hypocrisy is how they only embrace those tenents of their religion and/or patriotism when it promotes their point of view. Take school prayer, for example. Again, while these zealots are ready to lay down their lives for their Constitutional right to come armed to the teeth to a presidential assembly, they're prepared to ignore both the Bible and the Constitution when it comes to the separation of church and state.
.
Matthew 6:6 says the following:
.
"But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."
.
Thus, according to Matthew, public prayer is not the proper thing to do (and by extention, I would imagine that God also wouldn't be impressed by the ostentation of flags and crosses being worn as lapel pins). But these zealots aren't interested in that scripture, because it neither contributes to their point of view, nor is it conducive to their campaign to demonize others.
.
They also tend to conveniently overlook the fact that their entire concept of God is merely an accident of birth. If they'd been born in in the Middle East, chances are they would have been Muslims. If they'd been born in China they'd probably be Buddhist, or if in India, a Hindu or Sikh.
.
That immediately suggests that religious doctrine is more a cultural manifestation of man than it is a dictate from God. So anyone who has surrendered his or her soul to any organization, be it religious or otherwise, and have a mind that is so closed to reality that they don't recognize that fact, makes me very nervous, because they're obviously more interested in hating others than they're into loving God. After all, the only reason that we're wasting young lives in Afghanistan is because we're trying to keep Pakistan's nuclear missiles out of the hands of religious zealots - and by definition, a zealot's a zealot, regardless to what country he's from. They're all out of touch with reality, whether they be Christian, Muslim, or Jew.
.
One would think that any clear-thinking person would recognize that God - or Nature, if you will - provided us with a sense of ethics, common sense, and empathy to guide us through life. So man doesn't require a user's guide any more than birds require a calendar or map to fly South for the winter. And since ninety-nine percent of all the conflicts throughout the world involve a religious component, common sense should tell us that religious doctrine not only does NOT come from God, but indeed, represents the very darkest side of man.
.
Think about it, with all of the organized religions throughout the world, and all of the billions of people who claim to love God, why is there so much cruelty, murderous atrocities and suffering in the world? Why is it that with all the collection plates being passed around, collecting billions of tax-free dollars in the United States, that there's any homelessness or suffering anywhere in this country? And most instructive of all is, why is it that the Bible belt was the birthplace of slavery, and the most bigoted part of this entire country? Certainly bigotry isn't a part of God's will.
.
I'll tell you why that's the case - because our religious doctrines are not focused on teaching us to love our fellow man. They're more focused on teaching us that other people who are unlike ourselves and have different beliefs are heathens. It is in our churches where we learn that God is on our side, and "those others" who don't look and think like we do are un-Godly and are going to be condemned by God to eternal damnation. No? I'd be willing to bet a years pay that some of these so-called "men of God"are condemning me right now for having the audacity to speak the truth.
.
That's what makes it so easy for us to commit the most horrendous atrocities against others. Our religious leaders spend all of their time teaching us to "have faith" in what we're being told, and hardly any time at all teaching us to love our fellow man.
.
Man's need to control the minds of the masses dictate that they focus on teaching us to be selfish, hateful, and fearful rather than loving and Godly. It's all about saving MY soul from the devil, and what God is going to do for ME, instead of what I'm going to do to make this a better world. After all, if I start spending my money on helping my neighbor I'll have less money to give the church, and the church can't have that.
.
Consider what man has told us to have faith in. Over the centuries we've been told such things as God wants us to burn young women at the stake because they're a little different. They told us that God wanted us to excommunicate Galileo and threaten other brilliant scholars with death before the inquisition for having the audacity to try to educate us and give us the benefit of their God-given brilliance. And why? Because their brilliance betrayed the erroneous thinking of church leaders who claimed to be getting their information from a direct pipeline to God. We see that very same Mindset today. Many church leaders dismiss the validity of evolution, even in face of the fact that every time we get our children vaccinated it validates the fact that man is evolving.
.
When we're vaccinated we give our bodies a manageable dose of a disease. This allows our bodies to evolve to the point that it can tolerate a disease that would otherwise kill or disable us. But the church has a vested interest in discounting evolution, because new knowledge is often in direct conflict with their version of creation. Thus, for their own selfish reasons many religious leaders dispute evolution, global warming, and other valuable knowledge, even though every bit of new knowledge we've ever collected has served to glorify God's wondrous creation much more thoroughly than Biblical authors could have ever imagined. But these so-called religious leaders don't care about glorifying God - they're only interested in saving face, and revenue.
.
Consequently, some of the most serious problems that we have in the world today is a direct result of our organized religious leaders having our minds on lockdown. Their activity in that regard is a direct assault on the will of God, since God clearly made birds to fly, fish to swim, and man to think. We know this, because all of the evidence available to man shows that God made man's ability to think the key to his survival.
.
Man arrived on this hostile planet as a necked ape, but with neither a legitimate ape's agility or strength. Man wasn't as ferocious as the lion, as strong as the elephant, nor could he soar above danger like the eagle. He should have been dead on arrival, but God provided him with one tool to help him to survive - the human mind. And it is through the development of that tool that man, this most unlikely and fragile of creatures, has established dominion over the entire Earth, and in an incredibly short period of time. Now, through our God-given intellect, we've become more fearsome than the most ferocious lion, we've created machines that are thousands of times more powerful than the strongest elephant, and we can now soar far beyond the eagle's domain. We've even left the planet to explore other worlds.
.
Thus, it was clearly God's will that we be logical, thinking beings. So for us to now allow man to come along and tell us that we should suspend our nature as thinking beings, and "have faith" in what, he, man tells us, is a slap in the face of God. By doing so we're showing more faith in what man says, than what God has done.
.
That is the source of all of our problems; we're not remaining true to our nature. To tell a man not to think is like telling a fish not to swim, or a bird not to fly. If either of those creatures were stupid enough to comply, they would not survive. And if man continues to listen to other self-serving men instead of utilizing his mind as God intended, he's not going to survive.
.
It was through putting our faith in man that we believed that God condoned the Manifest Destiny, that led to the genocide of Native Americans. It was through our faith in man that we believed that God condoned the brutal enslavement of millions of African Americans. It was also man's faith in man that allowed Hitler to convinced the German people that God condoned the murder of six million Jews. And more recently, it was through having more faith in George Bush and Dick Cheney than in the common sense that God gave us, that the American people were convinced that God condoned the sacrifice of our youth and the blatant murder of hundreds of thousands innocent Iraqis - people who did absolutely nothing to us, other than being in the unfortunate position of sitting on the oil that we coveted.
.
Now, don't get me wrong - there's nothing wrong with being spiritual. But we must always remember, just because a man has the gift of gab and says he's a man of God, that doesn't mean that God sees it that way. God doesn't speak to him any louder than he speaks to you, and no man speaks for God. So whenever you want to hear God's word, just listen to your heart, and God will speak to you directly.
.
And there's one other thing. While admittedly, I don't speak for God either, I think I'm pretty safe in saying that God will never tell you to buy another man a big house and a new Cadillac - he didn't do it for Jesus, so why should he do it for these latter-day "saints?"
.
And for you zealots out there. Don't forget, God works in mysterious ways. He might have led you to read this piece. So maybe you should think about what I'm saying - it just might spare your child an early death . . . all alone, in the desert.

While these zealots are ready to lay down their lives for the constitution when it comes to their right to come armed to the teeth to a presidential assembly, they're prepared to ignore both the Bible and the constitution when it comes to the separation of church and state . Matthew 6:6 says the following: . "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." . So, according to Matthew, public prayer is not the proper thing to do (and by extention, I would imagine that God also wouldn't be impressed by the ostentation of flags and crosses being worn as lapel pins). But the zealots aren't interested in that scripture, because it neither contributes to their point of view, nor is it condusive to their campaign to demonize others. . Another thing that zealots tend to conveniently overlook is the fact that their entire concept of God is merely an accident of birth. If they'd been born in in the Middle East, chances are they would have been Muslems, or if they'd been born in China they'd probably have been a Buddhist, or in India, a Hindu or Sikh. . That immediately suggested that religious doctrine is more a cultural manifestation of man than it is a dictate from God. So anyone who has surrendered their soul to any organization, be it religious or otherwise, and have a mind that is so closed to reality that they don't recognize that fact, makes me very nervous, because they're obviously more into hating others than they're into loving God. After all, the only reason that we're wasting young lives in Afghanistan, is because we're trying to keep Pakistan's nuclear missiles out of the hands of religious zealots - and by definition, a zealot's a zealot, regardless to what country he's from. They're all out of touch with reality, whether they're Christian, Muslim, or Jew. . One would think that any clear-thinking person would recognize that God - or Nature, if you will - provided us with a sense of ethics, common sense, and empathy to guide us through life. So man doesn't require a users guide any more than birds require a calendar or map to fly South for the winter. Why is it that with all the collection plates being passed around, collecting billions of tax-free dollars in the United States, for example, that there's any homelessness or suffering anywhere in this country? And most instructive of all is, why is it that the Bible belt was the birthplace of slavery, and the most bigoted part of the entire country? . I'll tell you why - because our religious doctrines are not focused on teaching us to love our fellow man. They're more focused on teaching us that other people who are unlike ourselves and have different beliefs are heathens. It is in our churches where we learn that God is on our side, and "those others" who don't look and think like we do are un-Godly, and are going to be condemned by God to eternal damnation. No? I'd be willing to bet a years pay that some of these so-called "men of God"are condemning me right now for having the audacity to speak the truth. . That's what makes it so easy for us to commit the most horrendous atrocities against others. Our religions spend all of their time teaching us to "have faith" in what we're being told, and hardly any time at all teaching us to love our fellow man. Man's need to control the minds of the masses dictate that they focus on teaching us to be selfish and hateful, rather than loving and Godly. It's all about saving MY soul from the devil, and what God did or is going to do for ME, instead of what I'm going to do to make this a better world. This allows our bodies to evolve to the point that it can tolerate a disease that would otherwise killed or disabled us. But the church has a vested interest in discounting evolution, because new knowledge is often in direct conflict with their version of creation. Thus, for their own selfish reasons religious leaders dispute evolution, global warming and other valuable knowledge, even though every bit of new knowledge we've ever collected has served to glorify God's wondrous creation much more thoroughly than Biblical authors could even dream of. But religious leaders don't care about glorifying God - they're only interested in saving face, and revenue. . Thus, some of the most serious problems that we have in the world today is a direct result of our organized religious leaders having our minds on lockdown. Man wasn't as ferocious as the lion, as strong as the elephant, nor could he soar like the eagle. He should have been dead on arrival, but God provided him with one tool to help him to survive - the human mind. And it is through the development that tool that man, this most unlikely and fragile of creatures, has established dominion over the entire Earth, and in an incredibly short period of time. So for us to now allow man to come along and tell us that we should suspend our nature as thinking beings, and "have faith" in what he tells us, is a slap in the face of God. By doing so, we're showing more faith in what man says, than what God has done. . That is the source of all of our problems, we're not remaining true to our nature. To tell a man not to think is like telling a fish not to swim, or a bird not to fly. If either of those creatures were stupid enough to comply, they would not survive. And if man continues to listen to other self-serving men instead of utilizing his mind as God intended, he's not going to survive. . It was through putting our faith in man that we believed that God condoned the Manifest Destiny, that led to the near genocide of Native Americans. It was through our faith in man that we believed that God condoned the brutal enslavement of millions of African Americans. It was also man's faith in man that allowed Hitler to convinced the German people that God condoned the murder of six million Jews. And more recently, it was through having more faith in George Bush and Dick Cheney than the common sense that God gave us , that the American people were convinced that God condoned the sacrifice of our youth and the blatant murder of 102 thousand innocent Iraqis, who did absolutely nothing to us, other than being in the unfortunate position of possessing the oil that we coveted. . But don't get me wrong - there's nothing wrong with being spiritual. But always remember, just because a man has the gift of gab and says he's a man of God, that doesn't mean that God sees it that way. God doesn't speak to him any louder than he speaks to you, and no man speaks for God. So whenever you want to hear God's word, just listen to your heart, and God will speak to you directly. . And there's one other thing. While admittedly, I don't speak for God myself, I think I'm pretty safe in saying that God will never tell you to buy another man a big house and a new Cadillac - he didn't do it for Jesus, so why should he do it for these latter-day saints? . And for you zealots out there. Don't forget, God works in mysterious ways. Although, personally, I don't think God works in this way, based on your religion, he might have led you to read this piece. You don't have to have "faith" in one word I've said. Every word is based on fact . . . and according to the Bible, "the truth shall set you free." So maybe you should think about what I'm saying . . . if you're allowed to. . Eric L. Wattree wattree.blogspot.com

Am I a hater, you ask? You're damn right I'm a hater. I hate injustice. I hate hypocrisy. I also hate demagoguery, apathy, and the stupidity that allows it to exist. Hater? Absolutely. I'm a big time hater. I hate what I see happening to this country, and I hate watching the development of a culture that embraces ignorance with a stupid sense of pride. So yes, I am indeed a hater, but not only that - I'm a hater with a very low threshold for bullshit, so step off.
