EXCELLENCE IS THE KEY TO BLACK EQUALITY
REPUBLICANS CAN NEVER CLAIM TO BE PATRIOTS AGAIN
Why is America continuing to put up with Republican petulance? Trump and his republican seditionists know without question that Trump lost the Presidential election. Yet, in spite of that, they’re stomping their feet and throwing every scenario they can think of against the wall to suggest that the election was rigged. While everybody who aren't complete idiots know that the only problem with the election was Trump didn't like the way it turned out, we stand back and watch him commit sedition. Why?
.
Trump had every right to challenge the election if he legitimately didn't think it was fair, but that's what our courts are for, and once the courts have ruled on the matter, it's time to lick your wounds and move on. But, not Trump and his crowd. They want to shove their will down America's throat, and overturn the will of the people through extra-judicial means. There's a word for that. It's known the world over as a "coup". So, it's incumbent upon us to make it clear to Trump and his anarchists that we don't play those kind of games in America. We only have three branches of government, the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches. The Trump Renegade branch isn't listed anywhere in our Constitution.
.
So instead of catering to the treachery of these people, America must stand firm, because these people are, literally, the enemies of American democracy. So we should deal with these people with the very same resolve that we would muster against a foreign adversary, because the founding fathers warned us about such people. They made it a point to advise us to be vigilant in protecting our Constitution against ALL enemies - both foreign and domestic. And they didn't add that phrase just for stylistic flare, they anticipated self-serving demagogues like Trump.
.
So we've got to tell these insurrectionists in no uncertain terms to grow up and go learn what it means to be an American. And we shouldn't stop there. We should also make them pay a price for all the laws and democratic norms they've violated while throwing their tantrum. If we fail to do that, we're laying a foundation for Republicans to stage a rebellion every time they don’t get their way. They'll make it the new normal, and that will turn the United States into a banana republic. So, Teddy Roosevelt left us a prescription for dealing with such people:
So, again, we’ve got to make it clear to these people that in America, if they have a grievance they should take it to court, and if they lose in court, that’s it. That’s the way it works in a democracy. That's what our courts are for, to resolve grievances. But Trump doesn't seem to understand that fundamental rule of democracy. His malignant narcissistic personality makes him think that what's good for him is more important than the will of the people, the United States Constitution, and even the nation itself.
.
Trump's been thrown out of court no less than 60 times since he lost the election, yet, he's still jumping up and down like a petulant child whose been refused a lollipop. So we've got to make Trump do some hard time, in order to make it abundantly clear to all, that in America we don't play games with our democracy, and no one is above going to jail for trying.
.
.
So Trump is lashing out to purposely create chaos and disruption. And the fact that he's embarrassing America before the world, and launching an assault on democracy is meaningless to him, because for Trump, everything is about Donald Trump.
.
Hordes of psychoanalysts have warned us about Trump, and now we have absolute proof that he's completely insane. No sane man could possibly think he can actually overturn the will of the people in America with a childish little stunt like Trump's trying to pull off. Unable to manage his frustration over losing an election, Trump is blindly lashing out like a frustrated eight-year-old. But, again, the mere fact that he doesn't have sense enough to recognize that he can never pull off whatever it is he's trying to do is irrefutable evidence that he lacks the judgment, temperament, and simple common sense to even run a hot dog stand, and much less be the leader the free world.
.
But Trump seems to be determine to try to re-create America in his own image as our allies around the world are looking on in shocked disbelief and horror. They're in shock over the recognition that they've been following a nation with a democracy that's so fragile that it can be thrown into complete chaos by an unstable, fly-by-night character like Trump. In just four years, Trump has torn down a world image that it took America it's entire history to build.
.
So, we can't just sit back and allow that to happen. That would make the United States an international joke, because Donald Trump is a joke - a bad one. He's the epitome of gross immaturity, ignorance, and pathological dysfunction, and only those who share his dysfunction can even take him seriously. Everyone who's ever worked in his White House will attest to that fact. That's why the White House under Trump leaks like a sieve. That's a sign that there's very little respect for the man at the top - and the fact that he's completely taken over the GOP speaks volumes about the weakness of their character and resolve. These conservatives can never call themselves patriots again. As a former marine, I can't help but wonder, if these so-called patriots are too weak to handle a mindless draft-dodger like Trump, what a horrific experience it would be to have to go into combat to defend America with such wimps.
.
TRUMP'S WORLD OF DELUSION |
.
Thus, while the American people are focused on trying to raise their families and survive, Trump's strutting around like Arthur Fonzarelli shouting, "Hey everybody, look at me!" Instead of being a leader, he's a distraction. He's like a reckless child begging for recognition. While America is trying to survive in the real world, he's determined to pull us into his world of Make Believe where he's the star of the show. Trump has been cursed with a ceaseless yearning for attention. So for Trump, the American people are only props to help him maintain his ever-needy sense of self-esteem. That's why it's unbearable for him to accept the fact that he lost the election, because a star can't lose. And not only did he lose, but he lost to the former subordinate of Barack Obama, and that's driving him crazy.
.
Let us just stop for a moment and think about how ridiculously unhinged this man become. He's been to court 60 (SIXTY!) times in less than two months, struggling to get the court to say he won, an election that the courts has repeated said he lost. Perry Mason's wasn't in court that often, and for no other reason than he's a poor loser. So, while he's putting all of his effort into trying to avoid being perceived as a loser, he's made himself the Mohammad Ali of losing - the greatest. In a mere two months, he's made that his legacy. He's going to be remembered for being the biggest loser of all time, a psychoanalyst's dream, and a veritable treasure trove of cognitive dysfunction.
.
If Trump had even one scrap of credible evidence of fraud, at least one of his Trump-elected judges would have acknowledged that fact by now, but instead, every judge that's heard Trump’s fraud allegation has unceremoniously thrown it out of court – and the judges appointed by Trump himself have been the most unforgiving in their rulings.
.
The Washington Post reported, “All told, at least eight judges appointed by Trump have ruled against or declined to bolster the pro-Trump effort pushing baseless allegations of massive voter fraud and irregularities, as did another on his Supreme Court shortlist. And of the 46 people on those shortlists, more than 10 percent have failed to ‘come through’ for him.”
.
Judge Stephanos Bibas, a judge appointed by Trump to the federal appeals court, said in a ruling, “Charges of unfairness are serious,” Bibas wrote on behalf of a three-judge panel. “But calling an election unfair does not make it so. Charges require specific allegations and then proof. We have neither here.”
.
Donald Trump’s grievances over the fairness of the election have had more than their fair share of judicial review. So, it is clear at this point, Trump’s primary grievance is not actually over fraud, he's simply angry over the way that the election turn out. But in a democracy, the only remedy for that is to suck it up and move on. In a functional democracy you don’t get points for merely being upset, because in every election there’s always got to be a loser, and in the last election it was Donald Trump. But Donald doesn’t have the maturity to handle that. But if everyone who lost an election carried on like Trump, the nation would be in total chaos.
.
So, this experience clearly demonstrates that Trump doesn't belong in politics, because he's too immature to graciously accept defeat. He's also proving that he's much too self-absorbed to have any respect for democracy. He has a transactional personality and he's completely lacking in principle. He thinks because he appointed a judge to the bench the judge owes him a favor, so regardless of what the law dictates, the judge should rule in his favor as payback. Look at how many people he's fired and/or publicly denigrated for being more loyal to the Constitution than they were to him. Trump has the mentality of a criminal, not a statesman.
.
In addition, Trump is a spoiled brat of a man with autocratic tendencies. All he’s interested in is having things his own way through hook or crook – and in this case, it’s through crook. Thus, as a direct result of his ignorance and pathological narcissism, he’s currently engaged in sedition, and he doesn't even have sense enough to understand the depth of the hole that he's digging for himself. He's had sedition as a contingency plan if he lost the election long before we even went to the polls. But he's so incompetent, shallow-minded and transparent that he was predictable. Notice how the video below predicted the future weeks before the election.
.
TRUMP PLANS COUP IF HE LOSES THE ELECTION
.
.
Trump's attitude is not only immature and grossly idiotic, but it's dangerous as well, because Trump has no limits. As we speak, Trump is trying to incite violence, and he's not even thinking through the possible consequences of his actions. He's already gotten away with it once, during the Washington, DC rally. After his Texas fraud case was thrown out by the Supreme court, he contacted the Proud Boys, and now he's doing it again, and in both cases it constitutes sedition.
.
I pointed out in the article 'The Republican Party Has Finally Crossed The Line Into Fascism' that after Trump's 'last chance' effort at litigation was thrown out by the Supreme Court that, "It's easy to see that Trump and his cohorts are without limits because they’re so clumsy in carrying out their agenda. Proud Boys leader, Enrique Tarrio, said that he was invited by the White House to attend the rally that took place in Washington's Freedom Plaza. The protest was staged as a threat of rebellion in response to Trump's defeats in both the election, and the courts. But later Enrique modified his comment after obviously being contacted by the White House to shut up. Thereafter, he said he simply went on a White House tour.
"Of course he was just on a tour. He just happened to decide to go on a White House tour just prior to a Trump rally . . . and he brought along his entire crew just to keep him company. That sounds perfectly credible."
.
But at this point Trump has become so unhinged that he has openly urged his supporters to show up on January 6th when the electoral votes are submitted to congress to be certified. Trump has arranged for his supporters in congress to challenge the certification of the electoral votes, and he's put pressure on Vice President Pence, as President of the senate, to subvert the will of the people and certify Trump instead of Biden electoral votes, regardless of what the electoral college certified, or how the American people voted. Thus, the question is, why, after the violence that took place during the Washington, DC demonstration, is Trump asking his supporters to demonstrate yet again? What purpose are they suppose to serve, other than to break into violence when he doesn't get what he wants?
.
Trump tweeted, "Peter Navarro releases 36-page report alleging election fraud 'more than sufficient' to swing victory to Trump https://washex.am/3nwaBCe. A great report by Peter. Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election. Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!"
.
Donald, the election is over! And what message are you trying to send to your supporters by saying, "Will be wild!" What's 'wild' about certifying votes?
.
Trump is clearly engaged in sedition, plain and simple, and when he leaves office he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for mounting an assault on our democracy. If we fail to do so and allow him to get away with his atrocious behavior, it's going to be just a matter of time before another Trump-like character comes along - but he may have the intelligence to pull off what Trump is bungling due to his gross incompetence.
.
.
The nation’s demographics predict that the White Anglo-Saxon will be a minority in America in the very near future, so these people are desperate to preserve White privilege. That explains why they’re unwavering supporters of Donald Trump in the first place. Trump’s a mindless bigot and supporter of White supremacy. That makes him uniquely appealing to such people, but it also makes both Trump, and his supporters uniquely dangerous to American democracy.
.
Democracy is based on the principle of majority rule, and that's no longer appealing to many White conservatives. And whether we're discussing religion or politics, people convince themselves to believe whatever is convenient for them to believe. So, Trump, or any Trump-like figure, can shoot down democracy in the middle of 5th Avenue, and they would still support him – in fact, they’d cheer him on.
