I'M THE ONE WHO'S ALWAYS WRITING ABOUT HOW CRAZY RELIGION IS. I BELIEVE ALL RELIGIONS ARE A LIE, AND SO IS ATHEISM, BECAUSE MAN IS INCAPABLE OF UNDERSTANDING GOD. WHO ARE WE TO THINK THAT GOD IS OBLIGATED TO PROVE HIS EXISTENCE IN ORDER TO ACCOMMODATE OUR LIMITED COMPREHENSION? WE'D BE TOO STUPID TO RECOGNIZE HIM IF HE STOOD RIGHT BEFORE US, AND HE DOES, EVERY SECOND OF EVERY DAY.

EVEN WHAT WE REFER TO AS "NOTHING" IS A FORM OF EXISTENCE. IF NOT, EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT THE WORD MEANS. WHY IS THERE EVEN SUCH A WORD AS "NOTHING"? I'LL TELL YOU WHY - BECAUSE "NOTHING" IN ITSELF IS A FORM OF EXISTENCE. THE CONCEPT IS SMPLY BEYOND OUR ABILITY TO WRAP OUR HEADS AROUND, BUT THE UNIVERSE IS FILLED WITH THINGS WE CAN'T UNDESTAND.

YOU SEE, GOD IS EXISTENCE ITSELF. SO WHAT WE REFER TO AS GOD, IS WHAT "IS" IS, AND "IS" IS A  FORM OF EXISTENCE.  THUS, WHAT WE REFER TO AS  "NOTHING" IS ACTUALLY A FORM OF EXISTENCE THAT WE'RE JUST TOO  INTELLECTUALLY LIMITED TO UNDERSTAND. "NOTHING" IS SIMPLY THE ABSENCE OF MATTER, AND THE ABSENCE OF MATTER DESCRIBES 99% OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE.

THUS, I'M A FIRM BELIVER IN GOD, AND TODAY I'M EVEN MORE CONVINCED OF HIS EXISTENCE THAN EVER.

The photo above is not just a family resemblance. It goes a lot farther than meets the eye. There's a very eerie story that goes along with this picture, and I'm posting it here to see to it that it remains in our family archive forever.

My late wife and I used to get into debates every Sunday morning. She was a big fan of T.D. Jakes, and I told her that he, and all the rest of them, were hustlers. So one Sunday morning we made an agreement. We agreed that if there's life after death, which ever one of us died first would come back and let the other know. Well, shortly after her sudden death, a couple of strange things happened that I tried to write off. I tried to explain them away as coincidences. Once, the television came on by itself while I was in another room, but I assumed that it might have happened due to my neighbor's remote. But then thing happened that I haven't been able to explain, and I've been thinking about it ever since.

One night I was sitting in my motorhome talking to a lady who sells me clothes, and all of a sudden a knife just jumped out of the sink and onto the floor. If I live to be 200 years old I'll never be able to figure out how that happened. But I'll tell you one thing - that woman jumped up, left, and I haven't seen nor heard from her since. She doesn't even call me, and I haven let another woman into Val's space since.  

LOOK AT MY GRANDDAUGHTER, TAYLOR, AND AUBRI'S MOTHER, AMYA. THEY TOOK THIS PHOTO  IN JR. HIGH SCHOOL, LONG BEFORE THEY KNEW THEY WERE DESTINED TO BE RELATED. THEY WERE JUST TWO YOUNG GIRLS WHO DECIDED TO TAKE A PICTURE TOGETHER. THEY HAD NO IDEA OF ITS SIGNIFICANCE, BUT GOD DID.. IT'S AS IF GOD ALREADY KNEW WHAT HE HAD IN STORE FOR THEM.

So, Aubri's birth has really gotten my attention. Most babies are cute, but they lack definition. You generally can't tell who they look like until they get older. But Aubri looks (at least to me) exactly like a miniature version of Valdie - not a baby version, but a full grown version of the woman. When I look at her, I can see exactly those characteristics that led me to fall in love with my wife. I can see Val's personality in her eyes. Aubri doesn't have the eyes of an innocent baby; she has the eyes of a person who's seen the world before. She has the eyes of a person who's experienced life before. Look at her eyes, and then look at Val's. They have the exact same expression. They seem to say, "I'M BACK."

THERE’S ONLY ONE WATTREE FAMILY IN AMERICA, AND WE HAVE A GREAT TRADITION, AND I'M CONVINCED THAT WE WERE SENT HERE ON A MISSION. SO IF YOU’RE A MARRIED FEMALE IN THE WATTREE FAMILY , YOU SHOULD HYPHENATE YOUR NAME SO POSTERITY  AND YOUR CHILDREN WILL KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

WE MIGRATED TO THE UNITED STATES FROM FRANCE IN THE 1870S.  THEREAFTER, RICHARD WATTREE ESTABLISHED THE WATTREE SCHOOL TO EDUCATE OUR PEOPLE, AND MANY OF US HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN EDUCATION EVERY SINCE. YOUR CHILDREN SHOULD KNOW, AND BE TAUGHT TO TAKE PRIDE IN THAT.

WHO AM I WHO HAS THE AUDACITY TO CRITICIZE THE ILLUSTROUS CORNEL WEST?

I'M A SIMLE BLACK MAN WHO TILLS THE SOIL - BUT A SIMPLE MAN WHO WAS LEFT WITH A MISSION.

A few diehard Cornel West supporters seem to have taken great exception to my article, "A Portrait of Cornel West - The Liberace of Faux Intellectualism." They asked, who am I who has the audacity to criticize the illustrious Dr. Cornel West, and what have I done for the Black community?
.
In response, I can only say, I’m a simple urban farmer who tills the soil. So I must admit, I’ve done very little, at least, that meets the eye. But beneath the surface, everything I do is designed to move my people forward.  But like most urban farmers, I have to tend my crop and look at the long game, so I don’t have the time to concern myself with fame, fortune, and adulation. My job is to focus on harvest time, and patiently await my crop to come in.
.
You see, we all have a role to play in this society, and I see mine as helping to educate our people - not at Harvard, or Princeton, because that's not the field where my crop resides. My crop was planted in urban America, so that's the field that I tend.
.
I’m the product of a very unique family of farmers. We’re not famous, or world shakers, but we’re, literally, one of a kind in the United States. There's only one Wattree family in America, so anyone one with the last name "Wattree" is related to me. And as a family, we have ALWAYS been involved in educating, and tilling the soil of our people.
.
My Great uncle, Richard Wattree, started the "Wattree School" in Louisiana to teach Black people to read and write back when there was very little education to be had for poor Black people, and we've carried on that tradition over the years in one way or another every since. Some of us teach elementary and secondary school in various cities and states across this country, others, like my daughter and niece, work in administrative positions in various colleges and universities, and still others are artists, who depict  our people's journey within this country over the centuries:

Jubilee To Showcase The Art Of Claiborne Parish

"African American artist, Alma Lennear of Minden, will be exhibiting her works as well as selling her paintings Saturday at the Claiborne Jubilee. She comes from a long line of educators who have lived in and around Claiborne Parish since the days her great-grandfather, Richard Wattree, founded the Wattree School using the Bible as the reading book. A self-taught artist, Ms. Lennear's work features both portraits of historic figures as well as Biblical scenes. Come to the Jubilee and visit with a most interesting woman!"

Writing is my forte. I'm also a Jazz musician and a poet, so I help to pass along pride in our Black tradition through those mediums. My good friend, Rita Edmond, is undoubtedly one of the greatest jazz singers in the world today, and as we speak, I'm writing music for her and passing along my knowledge of music theory in order to ensure that she'll be prepared to carry on the tradition of Ella, and Sarah, and Dinah Washington in a fashion that befits their memory, and her own.

When I got married (when I was 21 years old, and my late wife, Valdie, was 19 ), I sacrificed my own ambition to be a professional musician to stay at home and try to become the kind of father that could ensure that my kids and grandchildren would grow up to be better than myself - and they are. So while there are a handful of people who may think I’m formidable, they haven’t seen nothin' yet. My greatest contribution to our people still lies dormant, feeding, growing, and absorbing knowledge within their cocoon.

So when my crop comes in, you’ll no longer have to ask, who am I. You'll know who I am - one hell of a farmer, but a simple farmer, who tills the soil to ensure the viability of his people.

LEGACY

.

Neither scholar nor the head of state,

The most common of men seems to be my fate;

A life blistered with struggle and constant need,

As my legacy to man I bequeath my seed.

.

More fertile, more sturdy, these ones than I,

This withered old vine left fallow and dry;

The nectar of their roots lie dormant still,

But through their fruit I'll be revealed.

HE LACKS BOTH THE MATURITY, AND CHARACTER, TO SEE ANYTHING BEYOND HIMSELF. THAT’S WHY OVER 210,000 AMERICANS ARE DEAD OF THE CORONAVIRUS.

Former WH COS John Kelly has told friends, about Trump: “The depths of his dishonesty is just astounding to me. The dishonesty, the transactional nature of every relationship, though it's more pathetic than anything else. He is the most flawed person I have ever met in my life."

 

Despite the US president attesting to the fact he finished “top of his class” at Wharton business school of the University of Pennsylvania, his former professor college professor William T. Kelley had another view.

After Kelley’s death, Frank DiPrima a close friend of Kelley revealed that the professor felt the president was a fool.

“Professor Kelley told me 100 times over three decades that ‘Donald Trump was the dumbest goddam student I ever had.'”

THE ONLY THING DONALD HAS EVER BEEN GOOD AT - OTHER THAN STIFFING HIS ASSOCIATES AND FILING BANKRUPTCY - IS SELLING HIS FATHER'S NAME AND PRETENDING TO BE SOMETHING THAT HE'S NOT.

BUT TRUMP WAS PLLLED OUT OF BANKRUPTCY BY THE RUSSIANS WHEN NO AMERICAN BANK WOULD TOUCH HIM.

DURING THE 2016 CAMPAIGN TRUMP CLAIMED HE HAD NO BUSINESS DEALS WITH RUSSIA

DONALD TRUMP IS AN EGOMAIAC. IF HE WAS AS RICH AS HE CLAIMED TO BE HE WOULD HAVE HIS FINANCIAL STATEMENT FLASHING ON TIMES SQUARE. BUT INSTEAD, HE'S MOVING HELL AND EARTH TO KEEP THEM HIDDEN. WHY? HE'S CURRENTLY FACING A 400 MILLION DOLLAR DEBT.
